CW9 with Dawson or Trijicon front sight?

I tried to purchase the trijicon sights from Kahr on 10-8-12 as I broke the plastic front sight off during a home entry! I still am waiting for the order to be sent! On backorder, so I've been told! Gun sits in safe, when it should be on my hip!! Hope I don't have to ever sent it back! No telling when I would see it again! Should have probably bought the dawson set !!

Ordered the trijicon sights for the CW9 from Kahr. Front sight went on in about 5-10min - simple.
The rear trijicon sight was much harder. Took quite some time to get it (the sight) fitted to the frame dovetail by SLOWLY filling down the rear sight base (angles) and fitting it into the dovetail by trial and error. But once installed and sighted-in they do not move under fire and are very bright.

Pros: Front sight is easy to install.
Are metal vs. polymer(plastic)
Are exceptionally bright.

Cons: The rear sight is not easy to fit. Momma, don't let your kids try this at home.
I used a padded vice, punch (brass hammer) and a small fine metal file (a little at a time) to fit.
Better would have been to use a sight drift but would still probably of had to do some fitting of the sight to the slide (not the other way around).
Better yet, for most, send the slide back to Kahr and have them do it.

that most new sights need some fitting on every gun. some just needs some slight sanding on the entirebottom of the sight to start in the dovetail easier.

Some people also wantto be abl3etomove their rear sight easier than maybe how theoriginal sight came off. It is not realy a hard thng tofit a rear sight.

Course in doubt, let a smitty do it, or if u doubt the smitty'
s ability, then let the sight company install it.

Why not cancel the order and get the Dawson sights?
Kahr Customer Service has done something similar (canceled part of an order) for me in the past.

I ordered about the same time frame and got an e-mail saying estimated in stock date was Nov 2nd.

Since Kahr seems to have an exclusive deal with Trijicon at least I know the sights or inserts haven't been sitting around for years. I couldn't assume the same with Dawson.

Well thats on Trijicon for not having the sights available for Kahr, not Kahrs fault.
Dont want to wait then go with the Dawson.

I contacted Dawson Precision and they had the front and rear nights in stock! They are the tritium green center, with the white outline! They sent them out the same day that I ordered them! Their more expensive, but should have my CW back were it belongs in the next day or two!!

they make a super product to... I have their sights in my G19, rear is totally adjustable and the gun is a real shooter..
