Run it with the magazine it came back with. I had some mag issues too. It's works great now.

      Well...

out to the range today. Same issue; 2nd round failure to feed with nose up. Always the second round of 6. If I load 5 rounds or less, no issues. 2 trips to Kahr already; what should I do? About ready to sell. I love my PM9, has been great for 3+ years now.

        That's disappointing.

I would not keep a self-defense gun that I couldn't be 100% confident with. There are other guns. My safety is worth it.

AFDoc, have you tried lightly sanding/polishing the slanted portion of the slide stop? I had a similar problem early on with both my CW40s and this worked. Also, if I'm lazy and don't disassemble the magazine and clean all parts well, it will also get a second round failure to feed. YMMV. Best of luck.

Thanks Bob. The mag is well cleaned. Not sure what you sanded though. Pics?

The arrow points to the slanted part that I deburred and smoothed out. The round being chambered passes this part on its way up the feed ramp.

sorry about the "confusion" ..... I would have probably had better luck with the CW45, or at least as good .... had the XDs two weeks before the "recall", waited two months to get it back .... it left with a 6.5 lb trigger and came back with a 8.8 lb trigger.

Your current issues, similar to quite a few similar reports in the past couple of years, are the only reason I took the chance on the XDs. It seems that sometimes you win a few, and lose a few more (then you win)

I finally gave up on KelTecs because I didn't want to have to "Finish" them.

edit to add: my cw9 (and former cm9) works perfectly, and I'm still well pleased with the cw9 after 3 years. Very fine handgun (for plastic)

Thanks Bob. I'll check that part.

Clear jam (round 2), sometimes get another jam (round 3) and sometimes shoot the rest of the mag just fine. It looks like the stripper on the bottom of the slide is caught in the groove in the brass casing. It's on its way back.
                    SAME WITH MY P45!!!

Is that Winchester White Box ammo?

It's been to Kahr already and they didn't fix it! Why do we have to do all of the hand finishing work to the slide, barrel, slide release lever, magazines and mag springs?
I've spent hours sanding, polishing, filing, cleaning, lubing, reading, etc., etc.
                    WTF?!?

Small gun, tight tolerances. Love my PM9. will keep working on the 45. Sanded the slide stop a little as the poster indicated but haven't shot it again yet. Can't say I will carry the 45 but not ready to give up yet. Kahr has been great working with me, even called me to ask more detail.

Did you do the Jocko prep? I've been thinking I might do it again. If I can't get it to work consistently in my hands, I'll sell it. At this point I'm not sure if it's the hardware or the interaction of me with this particular hardware.

I think I might have fixed the problem(s) with my P45. Haven't had any failures of any kind since making these repairs.:001_tt2:

The rod came out of the end of mine while shooting yesterday, which is why I don't carry it smh

                            What rod?
If it's the guide rod (and it's not damaged), I suspect you have the recoil spring's ends reversed.

Is not the P45 guide rod ONE PEACE??? How can it come out the front unless what GB6491 stated happened. Unless the gude rod end cap is broken off, other wise I would say it just cannot happen unless there is a mis-put togther scenario..
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border
