Back pocket carry question

really not to sure about alla this fast drazw area stuff, every areahas it plus's and minus's. Just having a gun on u puts u way ahead of the clux that isn't. I never got to paranoid about carrying two guns, seemslike over kill to mewhen indeed ur chances of every pulling a gun and using it are in the high 905 range. I know of only one forum member here who has had to pull his gun and actually shoot someone. Might be more I dunno but one that id do know of. Just sayin

It's not hard to access at all. It's right there. It's easier IMHO than pulling my shirt up and accessing the gun that way. With the butt of the gun pointing toward the crack of your a$$ you can draw it and it never points at you. It would with the grip pointed the other way though. It's at 5:30 vs 4, it's a few inches lower than a belt carry, it's not stuck under your shirt and most important...if you're being robbed for your wallet it's where you'd go to get your wallet out adding that extra fraction of a second of surprise.

You seem to have missed my point. You can't reach behind you if your assailant has you on the ground like Trayvon had Zimmerman. You're never going to get your gun out of your pocket.

Back pocket carry question

Guess every 'concealed' location could make access tough in certain situations or positions. My EDC is a CW45 in the small of my back using a Desantis adjustable cant IWB. It's comfortable (especially while driving) and fairly easy to access. It might take me a second longer than other locations, I admit. My pocket pistol is a Sig P(shooter)238 .380 in a Desantis pocket holster. Right front and virtually invisible.

I carry my CM9 AIWB. To me it's the fastest place from which to put the gun into action. All that I have to do is clear, rotate and fire. Next best is front pocket or IWB 4 o'clock position carry. The decision is your of course. The life you save may be your own.

I've carried both rear wallet style, right handed, butt to the left, and front waistband style, as cross-draw. I find either one satisfactory, but the cross-draw is my preferred method. I've read where people say cross-draw is not an accepted method, but, uh, by who? LOL

I tell ya the reason I like cross-draw is that it's the easiest and quickest way for me to get to my micro pistol. It conceals so much better (on me) than anything on the side unless I'm standing straight up and just fluffed my shirt. Anything else and ...print. Not so with IWB in the front. I first started doing this because of getting in and out of the car. If you're right handed and cross draw to the left, well guess what, no seat belts are in the way and it's very easy and quick to get to.

Front pocket carry is so natural, you can have your hand on the gun ready to draw, and no one has a clue.

And for carrying while driving, as you get in, you can just take the holster/gun out of your front pocket and jam it between the seat and console (or somewhere similar). Put it back in your pocket as you get out. All very natural and inconspicuous.

The biggest problem with small of the back carry is that you're risking damage to your spinal column by wearing a gun there. if you are knocked flat on your back, it doesn't take much damage to your spine to cause permanent paralysis. It's got to be the last place that I'd recommend that you carry a gun.
