  • P380/CW380 DB9 size comparison help

Looking to see if anyone has both a Diamondback DB9 and Kahr 380 and willing to do a size comparison for me.

Considering both for my next carry. Wife has the p380 and I had a pm9 and currently a bodyguard 380 for carry. Not looking to get into caliber or brand debate but I can't find a diamondback to do a size comparison anywhere locally.

I found the PM9 too large and the bodyguard leaves a lot to be desired in my eyes. So I've narrowed it down to those two out of the extremely large amount of options.

Looking for photos of them sitting side by side upside down for height comparison and also length comparisons. Can't find anything online as far as photo comparisons. Numbers can be misleading. Thanks!

I'm not one to bad mouth guns, but the DB9 is one that I'd avoid. It has a very bad reputation for durability and reliability. Size wise their about the same with the DB9 being a bit slimmer. The DB doesn't recommend using 147 gr. bullets or +P ammunition.

I have researched all options heavily and am aware of what I would be getting into no matter what I purchase or what caliber. I am unable to locate a db9 for hands on comparisons with what is known to me, the p380. The numbers don't sound much larger but I just am looking for some comparison shots. Thanks for the concern though!

I had a DB9 and it was the most worthless POS I ever owned. I could NOT shoot a whole magazine without some type of failure. People with larger hands seemed to be able to shoot it ok, Your hands really have to support the grip securely to keep it the gun from flexing. No way would I give a DB9 to a woman. Unless you want her to have a single shot pistol. I'd rather have a good wrist rocket sling shot, than a DB9, you might look at their forum and see how rudely they treat people that have problems. The management, not the other users are the rudest. I tried to work with them, but got tired of all the BS.

Again I'm not looking to argue brands, calibers, reputations or the like. Just simply looking to see if someone has both that could do a size comparison for me between a p380 and db9. I've research all factors and know what I would be getting into with both guns.

I think I read somewhere where kahr filed and won a maor lawsuit against DB over patent infringement. Not that means anything. I hav enot read many good reports on
DB, not tryingto aruge any point here either. They are just dow the block form the kel tek factory and not sure they don't have an under grund tunnel to each utter....
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Being different calibers by different manufacturers you may not find a side by side. It might tell you something to look at a side by side between the DB380 and the db9 because I think the DB380 and the Kahr 380 are pretty close in dimension, weight, etc.

Diamondback was acquired by Taurus last year.

Yes kahr did win a lawsuit against them. I don't know what they were required to do to make it right though? Taurus also acquired heritage arms. They are really expanding which makes me look harder at those brands with the backing of Taurus.

Don't know how to make it so you can "click on" but if you type in pocketautocomparison.pdf, I think you will find exactly what you are looking for.

I did stumble across the pocket auto comparison PDF and the numbers are readily available but I wasn't sure if someone had both that could just snap a couple quick pictures to compare them for me side by side and stacked.

DB was started by disgruntled workers from KelTec. There is no comparison between the DB and the Kahr pistol line. It's like camparing a Corvette to a Vega. Do yourself a big favor and forget about the DB. Here's a link to a size comparison.
