Pushing the rounds to the back of a magazine is a necessity. A good example goes back to my Vietnam service when we used to hit M-16 mags against our helmet for that reason.

As a result, I still tap the back of all mags like that.

Here is a photo of my slide stop that I filed down. Make sure you maintain the original angles of the slide stop and just shorten the slide stop just enough for the rounds in the mag to clear the slide stop. As I said in the earlier post, I was having a problem with the Buffalo Bore .380 Barnes bullet which has a little wider profile than the hard ball bullet.

Thanks for the photo, I will probably take a look at removing a tiny bit more material. Last time I used some 320 grit intended for metal work laid flat on a hard surface and then held the slide pin hopefully at the right angle and ran it back and forth over the sandpaper 6-7 times.

My wife has asked a couple times now if she can start carrying it, I guess by the "I am not so sure" look on my face she figured I wasn't ready yet. She still has her Black Diamond edition P380 that I am very comfortable with in the mean time.

I see Hickok45 tapping his magazines on the table all the time in his videos, I figured he probably does it for a reason.
