  • Sacrificed my CM9 ~ Should I move over to the CW380?

Mama likes wheel guns so an opportunity arouse for me to trade my beloved cm9 for a good deal. It was a good gun & I kept all accessories holsters mags yaddA

As I generally Glock 27 ~ I loved the CM9 as my white shirt & Tie deep conceal~

I'm thinking of the benefits to go even smaller with the CW380~

Any one else changed? Either directions ? Pros Cons?

    Thanks!

Have ( had ) both the P380 and PM9. Love both, but for logistics I kept the PM9 and sold the P380.

I have a CM9 and a P380. Both operate flawlessly and I like them both. The P380 is my EDC. Small. Accurate. Easiest to conceal.

I started to think about the sig 938 & quickly decided to stay with Kahr & remembered why I went with Kahr in the first place after watching some reviews.

        p380 vs CW380 like PM9 vs CM9?

I have a CM9 and CW380. I like the CM9 better for "punch" and accuracy. It's just a really nice design and well excecuted format for the caliber.

            BUT...

Day after day, I find myself picking up the CW380in its Alabama holster as I get ready to walk out the door. For deeper concealment or pocket carry, you simply cannot beat the smaller, slimmer footprint of the .380, and with self defense loadings now available I still feel like I am getting excellent protection against the worst-case scenario I hope never comes. The CW380 seems to get the nod about 90% of the time, for me.

Both great guns, and I would not sell either. I am glad to have the option of the "little brother" pistol, though, and am surprised how it has worked its way to my #1 carry spot.

CZ 83 in the car and a MK9 on me.

              That works for me.

I went from a .380 to a 9mm...............it wasn't a Kahr .380, but was just as small. I just wasn't confident about the firepower, and bumped up to my MK. I have also started carrying a .45 cal., depending on the circumstances. The world can be a nasty place out there....................................

So if you kept the mags, holsters, etc for the CM9, what good are those if you buy a .380? The CM9 isn't a heck of a lot larger than a CW380, and you already have 100 bucks worth of accessories for it.

True, Redstate & RRP as I figured also~ but what I didn't figure was thinking .380 to replace it. It wasn't worth giving it all up on the wheel gun.....

I have a CM9 and a Sig P938. I carry the CM9, if that tells you anything. I am going to sell the Sig. Nice gun, but I like the CM9 better.

For many years my EDC was a Seecamp in .32. The Seecamp is a great little pistol; But, it hurts to shoot. Practice with Winchester Silver Tip is expensive, and the Seecamp has no sights. I also have a PM9, quite a bit heavier and larger than the Seecamp, but 9mm. The PM9 goes in a pocket, even with suit and tie wardrobe. My recently acquired P380 has supplanted my Seecamp for EDC. It is thin and light. Certainly not as ammo sensitive as the Seecamp. And it does not hurt my hand! I can shoot 100 rounds and not need an ice pack! It is hard to beat the Kahr 380 for all day everyday all the time carry. Remember rule #1, have a gun....

I have the CW 9 which is my EDC in a Don Hume IWB & P 380 carried in a pocket holster during warmer months. I just sold my CM 9 because with my long fingers it was very uncomfortable to shoot even though it disappeared in a pocket holster in my jeans or cargo shorts.

Over about a years time my PM9 pushed my Glock 26 out of rotation. Sold the Glock as I'm not one to keep a SD gun that I'm not carrying at least a bit.
