The only Kahr I've ever shot is my CW380. I bought it for its size, the ability to conceal it and carry it most anywhere. My hands are way too big for it though. I can shoot it pretty well but it is awkward to get a good hold on it. I prefer the grip of a full sized Sig Sauer or CZ, I have both. Since I like the Kahr trigger so much I've always wanted to try a larger one. The K9 is what I wanted but balked at the price. The range I go to had a CW9 in stock this morning. Still a bit small but I could get a good grip on it. The sights and trigger pull were perfect. I really don't need another gun, (4 9mm, 1 .45 and 1 .380) but I will have one soon.

The CW9 was a great business decision for Kahr. Same as the others at half the price!"Love Your Neighbor as Yourself" - Jesus
"Don't Tread on Me" - The 1775 Gadsden Flag
"No Stronger Retrograde Force Exists in the World" - Winston Churchill re:Islam

I went back and forth between the CW9 and CW45 and wound up going with the CW45. I't slightly larger than the CW9 but barely. I've since picked up a CT380 for the larger grip size than the CW380. Both are a pleasure to shoot and the CT380 just disappears into the waistband even with shorts and a T-shirt.

I really like the CW40... I even used it at a local club IDPA match a few times... https://youtu.be/EPHTjlRDibg

Im brand new to kahr, just picked up my cw9 for ccw and shot it for the first time easter sunday.
Gotta say its an awesome little gun, put about 70 rounds through it, not one single malfunction pretty accurate as well, but i gotta get warmed up to that trigger im used to my ruger sr9 and sr9c with a reset.
If the full size kahr were available in commifornia id get one of them too because i like the little guy soo much, cant wait to get it fully broken in and start carryin it!

Welcome to Kahrtalk! Glad yours is doing well.
My first Kahr was a PM9 - but gave it to my oldest son, and now have a CT380 & a CW45. Have been thinking about getting a CW9 just because most everybody seems to like theirs - and why not?A man can never have too much red wine, too many books, or too much ammunition

I do have one question for you guys about the cw9 though, does it eventually loosen up? Its gotta be one of the tightest slides on any gun ive ever owned, my better half likes it for the size and she needs a ccw gun for purse carry but she can barely rack the slide!
Don't want her to not be able to load a round when she really needs to in a panic, heaven forbid that ever happens but i like to be prepared for what could happen.

She should be carrying it in Condition 1 - a round in the pipe.
Kahr does not recommend racking, or slingshotting, to load the first round. She should have the slide locked back, insert the loaded magazine, then release the slide stop lever to chamber the round. Remove the magazine, load one more round to fill it, then place it back in the pistol. 7+1 is the way they are designed to be carried (in a proper holster of course).
Says so in the manual, and for all the Kahr models if I'm not mistaken.
I carry my CT380 - which is almost as big as a CW9 - in a Remora Pocket Holster - the trigger is covered. She should have something similar for her CW9, if not a purse with a concealed pistol compartment.
I've racked a CW9 slide at a gunshop, and have racked my CW45 many times, but neither one of those was as tight as the slide on my little CT380. That thing was a bear to get loosened up just a little.
Hope your wife can get it to work easier for her.A man can never have too much red wine, too many books, or too much ammunition

Ill have to see if i can find maybe a purse pocket holster if im gonna have her keep one in the pipe, dont think loose in the purse with one in the pipe is a good idea without some type of trigger cover, maybe a kydex deal that clips on the rim or something.
Anyway thanks guys appreciate the insight.
