Thanks! That photo was taken with "HDR Paint" enabled in the camera . It's not the best for detail; there's another of my dogs in the photo, she's the reddish brown blob just below the large bush/tree.

Great picture. I think I picked out the blob after you mentioned it. Good camo before, didn't see it although I was looking as I know your dogs run in a group.

Edit to add- looking again I'm not so sure, I wasn't looking at the large tree/bush but closer off to the left, not sure that qualifies as a large tree / bush.

Kind of a where's Waldo situation we have going here. It's ok, I love a challenge and I'll find it.

It took persistence, but my CW45 now a wonderful pistol. I was one of the lucky ones sorting through short front rails. Once I got a new frame, it broke the trigger bar, then had to go back. Then it had problems with the cocking cam and had to go back.

Since all those dang issues have been fixed, I have a few thousand trouble free rounds down the pipe

I will say that Kahr offers sight installation: http://www.kahr.com/Upgrades-and-Ser...ce-CS-ITEM.asp

The front sight on the CW45 is DIY friendly as a replacement option. I've found the Trijicon sight works with the OEM rear sight. I imagine a sight of similar height from Dawson would work as well.

The front sight just snaps off (poke out what remains of the posts):

If you want to go DIY with an after-market rear sight, getting the OEM sight off can be little challenging, but can be done with a punch, hammer, and solid vise. The new sight will probably require fitting with a file, sand paper, or stones.

I'm not a fan of paint over stainless, as I don't like how it wears. I think for maximum durability paint is best done over fresh parkerizing. Others may disagree, so it would be good to hear their input here.

I'm going to flesh this reply out with a few more CW45 photos:

You need a K40 to fill out that steel Kahr portfolio?

Nah, probably not. I sold most everything I had in .40S&W (did keep a G27) sometime back. Thinking my preferences might have changed, I picked up a CZ in .40 recently, but I've already moved it.

Those paint pictures are great! Didn't know anything like that was available. They would make great enlargements to hang on your wall. None of my cameras have that feature.

Greg, those Kahrs are in such great shape they look new! Out of that group which ones do you carry?

Thanks! I've a couple of Sony cameras that have the feature. I found it by accident when taking that photo I posted.
Here are a few more from then:

It's not the best mode for people as it leaves you looking like you haven't washed in a while:

                  MB,
The CW45 gets carried quite a bit, even among my other firearms.
Though it's the new to the family, the MK9 would be my second choice.

Great pictures. For some reason I can't help but think of Louis Lamour looking at them. Sun ups and sun downs are epic down there. Great photo.

On the negative side I can't help but picture my chair buried up to the axles amongst the vegetation, snakes and spiders.

Sure like wander about that country given a great pair of legs though, and maybe a jeep.

It has already turned cool up here. I think the desert might be calling in the future. Thanks for sharing the photos too!

Yup, we dropped down into the high 50's and 60's and wet last few days. Actually kind of nice for a bit. Fall is upon us though.
