DAMN fine work you do, Bawanna! I think we're going to have to talk about a set of ebony (or black stained) skip line checkered grips for my Springer GI.

Not a problem. I love ebony, gotta get some more, I'm down to slivers and tiny pieces. I've also got the tools for skip line which ironically I also love. Many don't like the skip line but I think its kind of classy.
If I can't get a hunk of ebony (I think I can) I got some pretty Coco Bolo and even some plain ole walnut thats really pretty too.

          Update

Well, guys, it looks like my P45 won't ship until Monday or Tuesday. I'll have to keep digging around for pics and coveting yours for another week. In the meantime, I'm getting all my cleaning gear together and researching belt holsters. Looks like DM Ballard, Mitch Rosen, and Tucker's STX are catching my eye. I'll start a new thread when it gets here.

            It's so close!

USPS says my P45 is in Nashville! That means my LGS will receive it today, but I can't pick it up until tomorrow (I can't get there after work today).

I've had scores of guns...why am I so excited?!

There's something about a new and coveted toy. Just one of those things.
Attitude: it takes 43 muscles to frown, 17 to smile...and 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

The olive branch is considered a symbol of peace, and good will. Last time I checked, it's still a switch.

I must admit I've been coveting this a bit more than past purchases. Picking it up at lunch today. Pics tonight!

Glad to hear your father is helping protect my family in MS.

Hi to All. Just joined. Waiting on my purchase order to be approved for the pm45. Trading in my mk40. Can't wait to pick up the gun and run some rounds through it. How does it shoot? How is the recoil?

Your gonna love it. I'm sure you'll be asking yourself if this is really a 45 first time you shoot it. Very good accuracy and a joy to shoot.
Do the Jocko proper prep thing from the tech section, lube it good, read the manual (I know that aint normal but read it a couple times.) and hit the range. Only issue I had was my thumb hitting the slide release during recoil and locking open with rounds left. I adjusted my grip, then rounded off and melted down the lever and no problems since.
I suspect it will be immensely more fun to shoot than your MK40 was. I have a K40 and I enjoy shooting the PM45 much more.
Welcome and please, nothing but good reports after your first range session. I've been depressed lately and I just don't deal with bad news too good right now.

I think I've met one of the K9 officers in the SO. I've certainly seen his car in Dad's driveway on occasion. PM me next time you go down there and I'll get Dad to meet up with you. He loves meeting new people.

I graduated from Hattiesburg High in '86 then went straight into the Army. USM has a beautiful campus and great programs. What were you in?
