+1 for the talon rubber! Put one on my cm9, and absolutly love it! Keeps a great grip, and cushions the beating my hands were taking before. Im pretty sure Ill put a talon rubber on any gun a buy in the future!

Good to hear. I've got one of those ordered for my P40.

Amen to that. Just put the rubberized Talon Grips on my CM9 & Glock26 & love the feel. Haven't shot them yet, but that's just a formality. The grip & feel is terrific. No more gripping the "Cheese Grater" when firing the CM9.

I'll second the inner tube idea on the CM9. Less than $5 at Wal-Mart for the tube and the cheese graters are gone! It's a bonus that it doesn't bulk up the grip either.

I did the inner tube Idea. I also added finger grooves. I used a couple of hair ties from my Grand Daughter. I also tried just cutting thin strips of the inner tube to get the feel that I would like. But the little hair ties has worked the best. I have shot a steel match's and a couple of IDPA match's and I do not have reposition my hand at all,It has a very positive feel now. Jim

Great idea! I do not like the Talons because they look far to abrasive, I wear "tucked in the waistband" and I think all my skin would be gone at the end of the day with them.

I may have to try the inner tube idea. There is a high end bike shop in my town. I'm going to go by there and see if I can talk them into giving me an old one. I want it thin and, like you, I don't want something abrasive. In an earlier post, I talked about the Qwik-Grip being a little uncomfortable against my side with some holsters. The positive grip is great, but I imagine the smooth inner tube will still provide plenty of grip.

A little side note: I scrapped a set of Traction Grips to put little thin strips between the ridges on my slide serrations. (Sorry, I don't have pictures yet.) When the slide was mirror polished, the serrations got polished, too, making them hard to grip. So, a little enhancement. It looks kinda cool, too!
                    Very interesting...

When you guys talk about the Talon Grips being too abrasive, I assume you're talking about the original version that is basically like skateboard grip tape...right? I can't imagine that the new rubber style Talons are that abrasive.

Get a 1 3/8' tube. The tighter the better. If you get a 1.125" or something bigger it may slip. It will be harder to work with but will stay put. I just rolled the edges and put my humps in after it was on. Jim

I found that it helps to have a nice clean cut when shaping it prior to install. The slightest jagged edge and it will tear.

I didn't have much difficulty putting it on, far less than I expected anyhow.

I didn't use anything, hairspray etc and didn't even wash the thing. Stayed put the whole time it was on there.

I used an old 1.75 mountain bike tube our shop had. You still have to streatch the heck out of it and it works great. I tried a smaller tube and could not get it on. I have had extra tube for years and still gave some to most guys I know.

Since they are free for the asking . . . get several sizes. Depending on the brand and material used to make them, your fit may vary quite a bit.

Oh, and I think your "grooves" using hair bands look really neat! Thanks for the suggestion. With your "grooves" installed, I may have to stop calling them "ghetto grips".
I thought you was a biker. I raced MTB for a while after I blew both knees out racing BMX. I am back to Racing BMX again off and on.

I love the way my Rubber grip cover turned out. With one inner tube you can afford to try many different ways without breaking the bank. When you buy a Kahr I would think you bought because of being thin. Not sure why people add real think palm swells and finger extensions. I had a CM9 which I loved but wanted a little more control Because I shoot the He!! out of it. So I got a CW9. Thanks Jim

I would think so... I dont find the rubber one to be overly abrasive against skin.
