I like the CM9. The reason I bought it was that I was so happy with my CW9. If my daughter hadn't claimed the CW9 as her's I'd be carrying it today. The only thing I might change is the sights. I'd like to get the front dovetailed for a night sight but following another thread re: front sight installation. tom.

I have the Kahr PM9 ..In black ..with night sights ..
and I wouldn't have it any other way ..

As a auto tech ..I've alway have bought Snap-on tools..
Best tools for the job .. yes, The craftsmen would do , but on a professional level I choose Snap-on..
Same with firearms ..get the good stuff ..

I figured if I'm going to trust it with my life I'm going to spend the extra.

OK, the 800 lb. elephant in the room is...many who buy a CM9 can't afford the PM9 so they try to run the PM9 down.

And I'd be willing to bet many that bought the CM9 had to put it on a CC.

^^^That is a possibility but both are great weapons. I wouldn't bash one or the other, they are both high-quality. One of the reasons I bought my CW9 was so that I could have a dedicated "car gun" at a reasonable price ($350.) After I get nite sights and a trigger modification on one of my Glock 19s the money invested is close to $700, which I don't want to leave in the car here in Houston. When I can't carry my G19 IAWB, I have my CM9 in one pocket and a KT32 in the other pocket plus several blades...I have the KT32 and blades when I carry the G19 too.

Bottom line, IMHO, you can't go wrong with either the PM or CM series. Both are very reliable pistols.

Both are great pistols. Which is the one you should buy. Well
I bought the PM9 first because the CM9 was not around at the time. If it was though I probably woud have bought the PM9 anyway because I'm not a bnig fan of two tone pistols and prefer all black pistols for CC. That and the night sights for these old eyes is a major plus, that and the Walther polygonal barrel appeals to me. I have no regrets buying the PM9. I have a friend who bought a CM9 and loves it. So I guess it all depends on what your wants are and how deep are your pockets. The pistol in the pic is my EDC for two years now, even if it doesn't look like it possibly could be. The finish on the slide is simply amazing.

I looked long and hard at both. I could afford to pay cash for either one so that wasn't an issue. All the extra features the PM has are nice and the lower price of the CM is attractive, but when it came down to it there was one feature that was the most important to me. Does it go bang when it needs to? On that critical point both guns are equal and the extras the PM offers do nothing to improve the bang. I bought the CM, an extra 6 round mag, and a deSantis holster. YMMV but I have no regrets.

I don't know about that .I am always impressed about the wad of cash I see people with at the gun shop or gun shows.( a lot of the lgs give you a better price if you pay cash)I bought the cm9 while waiting on the 9mm s&w shield .Wanted a 9mm to shoot and the lgs had the cm in stock no wait .Also bought the shield .Liked the cm9 so much I bought a black p380.Only problem now is the shield and the cm9 spend most of their time in the safe . The p380 travels with me most of the time.

Thanks JFootin. I try to keep her nice, she was a pretty good chunk of change, but I was tired of waiting for Springfield to come out with a single stack XD 9mm pistol. Once I saw the PM9 and how the ergo's (basic shape)where so much like the XD line of pistols but with the walther barrel and night sights I jumped all over it. That and I loved the butter smooth trigger. It's one of the few guns I've ever put on layaway. She has somewhere between 2500 and 3000 trouble free rounds through her. She's not brand picky and it doesn't seem to matter if it's FMJ's, HP's or even reloads. I know they say you should change the springs out every so often but it still has every original spring in it to this day and I don't plan on messin with anything just yet.. Like all my pistols she's 100% stock. Straight out of the case PM9. She is what I call a great pistol.

Basically all the reasons why I bought my PM9.
When I bought mine the CM9 wasn't out yet.

Interesting "observation"... .. as in some posts... amusing.

But also possible that nthere are people, I, for one, sold a PM and bought a CM. And also likely that some people who do use CC but always pay in full ... ya know... for "points", "cash back", "mileage", etc...

I also believe that they are people, I, for another "one".. may be you too, do pay cash in car buying? (but I have never tried to ask dealership if they accept cc.. may be I should ask next time.. will get lot of miles / cash back.. LOL)

After all been said .. does it all mean that me/you/we are better than other folks who cannot afford PM, or who make purchase only with CC ... .. NOOOOOOOOO, not at all.

We bought my sons car with a credit card.
I used to use the card and pay every month but then came marriage and children so that put an end to pay every month as is brutally evident on my outstanding credit card and gas card outstanding balance.

I'm still trying to figure out how to use a debit card which is a wonderful invention, takes me back to my days of saving up to buy what I want, that was long long ago in a far away place it seems.

Can't even imagine paying cash for a car, never owned a new one, did have one that was less than 10 years old once, close enough?

To meander back on track, some folks just won't pay more than a certain amount regardless, probably why they have bank accounts and money.
Take a rifle scope for example, a good Leupold has a life time warranty but just ain't now way I'm gonna shell out 500 or a 1000 bucks for a really good probably worthwhile scope.

The safari guides always know American hunters, 3000 dollar rifle with a 50 dollar scope.

I'm like that with most things except guns of course. I'm a sucker for guns.

I have one credit card, and I use it all the time. I get air mles for every dollars. I pay my bill every month, nevermissed a payment in full since Ihave had thiscard either, well over 25 years. Using a credit card is not a sign of indebtness or what ever one wants tomake out of it. Try renting a car without a credit card. I use it tomy advantage. Course many abuse their credit card and then blame the cc cmpanies for high interest rates..
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border
