  • I HATE my PM9

Well....not really. But it seems to have ruined me from being satisfied with any other pistol as an edc. My elusive search took me through a few different Glocks, Smiths, a Kimber, a Springfield and even a Shield 9. But, like a bad habit, I keep returning to the PM9.

    What is wrong with me?

. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

      Need help with issue

I bought a PM9 used that was never fired. When I seat the magazine in it and cycle the slide the first round gets stuck on the slide ramp. I tap the bottom of the slide and the round chambers and the slide slams shut. Any thoughts? Is it a mazazine issue or a pistol issue?

PS - my first shot with this pistol was from around 7 yards and was a bullseye.

Try chambering the first round with the slide release instead of "slingshotting" this is what the manual recommends. You can slingshot the first round into the chamber with practice, just make sure you get the slide all the way back and release it cleanly without "riding" the slide forward and slowing it down

Lock the slide back, insert the magazine, release the slide with the slide stop lever.

After a couple hundred rounds it should sling shot fine with proper tecnique. They are pretty tight at first and not much tolerance in the sling shot dept unless you do it perfectly with no ride the slide.

Or you could just do what quick draw Mcgraw Milesdavis said, that would work too.

                  Those @#$@# PM9's.

Love mine! Mines the blunt end one, the Jocko model PM9J, and folks... it just runs like a Singer sewin' machine... tat-tat-tat-tat-tat.... has not failed once on me, with either six or seven round mags. Been shooting WWB in it, and the odd box of Blazer aluminum case, and I think I shot a box of Federal... whatevers... thru it, because thats the cheapest stuff the range had. It was full power. Works with everything.

Similarly... those two PM45's don't skip a beat neither!

haha, sorry bawanna, beat ya to it. As a college student (and professional procrastinator, as I probably should be writing a paper right about now) I find myself browsing the internet entirely too much, and I can type pretty fast too.

I had to go through assorted S&W pistols and wheel guns, three Kimbers, a Ruger, and a Springfield before I found my ultimate CC gun. I don't have the "keep coming back" issue, I had the took a long time to find issue. At least you know a good thing when you find it...

Agree 100%. I've looked at every new product of the month small 9mm pistol that has come out over the last few years. Some I have shot, while others I've had no interest in at all. There is not one that I would even consider giving up my PM9 for. Having said that though. A good gun is a good gun and if it works for me I could care less who's name is on the grips. When it comes to EDC 9mm's it the Kahr.
