    Just dropped off the CM9

That looks very sharp! I think I am heading down there to have mine done.

I do have a question. What is the "slide melt" you mentioned? Is that the baking process of the Cerakote? I assume the Cerakote is a baked on finish.

How did the magazines turn out? Are you happy with everything? Notice any difference at the range?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm very interested in getting this done too.

    Thanks,

    Jim

melt is normally rounding off of the corners of the slide. This smitty did an excellent job and the price was excellent..
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Melting it just rounding off sharp corners. The melt I had done was very mild compared to some. Also, the Kahr really didn't need it in my opinion, but it didn't cost that much, makes the gun a little nicer looking, and I assume the cerakote will hold up a little better on more rounded corners vs. sharp angled corners (i have no proof of this though).

For the mags he just tweaked/bent the top a little so the ammo would be in a better angle and feed better. He said 1 magazine was perfect and the other two were a little off.

            Just dropped off the CM9

Just dropped mine off with him today. Hoping I get the same results you did. Getting pretty much the same work you did, minus the sight install. Can' t wait!

Nice to see you got exactly what you wanted. I agree, any decent machinist can cut that for you.
