Put some type slip on rubber piece to help with grip. Get as high a grip as you can . Or give to your girl friend to shoot. Sounds like a weak loose grip and you holding to low on the trigger.

My wife might be a little pissed if I give to my girlfriend, but you might be on to something about my finger being too low on the trigger.
