8-rnd mag in CM9?

The 8 rounder would be kinda werd as a carry mag in ether small kahr but makes for quicker removal and replacement if needed from a typical mag holster or knife pouch as the wittle 6 rounds can get a lost feeling to them when grabbing for one in a hurry and offers a little more mag for better control reloading. That's why I carry one 8 round mag , well that and a couple extra rounds .
I never did get the pressure on longer mags as a problem. Some of us have used the black plastic mag bottoms on the little CM / PM mags as a extra grip area. I swapped my tp mag bottoms to my cm mags. Never found any pressure on it or the larger regular mags to cause any problems.
In 5 years I have never had a round work out of a mag or even close to it and carry at least on T mag daily daily. At worked as a carpenter and always have a double side hung tool pouch's on hanging from suspenders and belt. They will swing kinda free on me. I carry the extra 8 rounded mag at work in the knife/phone combo pocket of a work jeans . Kind loose in there always top side down . Never had round move even enough that would cause a problem loading it.
Hard to figger ,maybe some guys are lucker than others and miss out on the problems others have

I was able to procure an 8-round magazine last Saturday at the gun show. It came with the black plastic pinky tab, which is of course useless for an 8-round mag in a CM9, so I switched it out for the steel flat floorplate from one of my six-rounders, and put the pinky tab on that. So now I have one flat 6-round, one 6-round with pinky tab, one 7-round with grip extension, and one flat 8-round mag.
The next day I attended a car shoot. While pumping about 100 rounds into a 10-year-old Hyundai Santa Fe, all four magazines performed flawlessly, even the 7-rounder. Not a failure of any kind. My Cm9 is getting up near 1000 rounds now, and I'm wondering if it's just smoothing out in general. Needless to say, I was very pleased.
After shooting pistols at the cars from 25 feet, we moved back to the 75-yard line, and I proceeded to put about 100 rounds of 7.62x39 and 200 of 7.62x25 into the two cars, then at the end of the day roughly 50 lbs of Tannerite was detonated under the Hyundai via a 300-yard .308 shot.
It was a good day.

And some pics I took:
Hyundai before Tannerite:
Hyundai after Tannerite:
The empty shell of a rusted-out '63 Plymouth Sport Fury. It still had the back seat in it, and somebody must have been shooting steel-core, which sparked and set the upholstery burning. We just let it go until it burned itself out.
(Don't worry, the owner of this car assured us that everything he could use off of it had been used, it had saved 3 other Furies, and nothing usable was left.)

A rockin' time was had by all :33: In addition to testing out the new Kahr mag, it was my first time out with my new PPS43c, and only my second time with the SKS. Dumping 30 rounds of 7.62x25 into a burning car out of a PPS43 in less than 15 seconds is about as much fun as you can have with your clothes on.
