No room for my pinky on my CM40, unless you get a 6rn mag. I think the 45 is real close in size.

I think my hands are average but with any golf glove or pair of winter/work gloves I've ever bought, they're large.

With the PM/CM45's five-round mag, it's essentially a full grip for me. When viewing the grip, the small mag plate extension appears to rest about in the middle of my pinky with half appearing to hang off. But the sensation I get while gripping and firing is essentially a full purchase.

With mag out, the pinky hangs off much like my PM9 with mag inserted.

The CM45 is just big enough for a full 3 finger grip for my size average/large mens hand.

Link to my then new CM45 thread/range report. Page 3 has size comparison pics with my CM9.

Forty fives are for short, fat, bald headed, old men. At least that's what a young friend of mine once told me when he showed me his shiny new 9mm Glock. After I blew the center out of the target rapid fire and he finished scattering his shots around the paper slow fire, he modified that sentence. He now says that .45s are for short, fat, bald headed, dangerous, old men!

^^^ Once at an indoor range, all I had left was one magazine of ammo + two tiny one inch stick-on targets. I placed them about eyeballs apart and ran them out to 7 yards. That's when the young whippersnapper next door laughed and bet me I couldn't hit them. I should've raised the stakes.

Buy it! It's a good deal on a great gun. Only thing better is a PM45 for $399 😀
