must be my eyes, I sure can't see the grip change..
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

look at the kahr webb site for up to date photos. They are still showing the old style PM9 and PM40. Ihave seen hundreds of PM and P series kahrs with the beveled slide lock lever. I might be mistaken but I think that is standard on the forged slide lock levers today..

The only change I can see is the slide.

I can only speak for the PM40: The only 2 changes I can see on my new model PM40 when compared to the photos of the older version seems to be the new version has a taper on the back edge of the slide stop lever and the beveled slide at the muzzle (slightly longer). With this they changed the barrel and spring lengths. I agree with Jocko in that I do not see any changes in the shape of the polymer grip or beavertail. I'm not saying I am correct, but the photos do not show any change to me. The only way to be sure, is to have better photos of side by side with the same angles and/or top down photo of the old vs new. I believe there is someone on the forum with old and new PM that can straighten this out. If the angle of the photo is changed between old and new, it is impossible to make the comparison of the grip/beavertail. It would be nice to see side by side comparison this done.

I believe it is firmly established that Kahr made some PM changes but did NOT do a good job communicating their PM changes (whatever they turn out to be). I don't know what they are for the 9 or 45. However, it seems that most folks with the old version are happy and most folks with the new version are happy. I know that I am happy with my PM40. At this point, it is what it is folks.

As for the side discussion of the CTL (sorry for the temporary topic diversion):
Thanks! Just put it on this weekend after my 2nd range trip with it. Seems a little off out of the box, but I've yet to fire it using the laser. Hopefully in a couple weeks!
I found that if the laser dot is lined up with the top of of your front sight when the front and back sights are alaigned, you will be good to go (providing your sights are on). Done off a bench. I am told that Kahr has the sights adjusted to be "on" at about 10-15 yrds and I found this to be true when I benched mine. Easy to check them. I am also told that Crimson has their laser adjusted very close out of the box. I found this to be true as well. Once I got my laser adjusted to match up with the front sight, it has not moved...even with pocket carry. Sometimes I move, but the laser doesn't. Good luck with your CTL. Good dry fire tool.

Now back to your issues at hand.....

New Vs old Mine is an '08 frame, his is a '10. They also changed the injection mold point in the trigger guard and use a harder polymer.

yup u convinced me, nice photos. Not sure I under stand the harder polymer in the trigger guard, . Never knew there was ever an issue there for strength and I would think it would be very difficult to do that with injection molding. Where did u hear that at?? If it came from kahr, then I am on board but if it is just general forum verbage, then I remain doubtful...

The injection point I can see. On mine, the nubb is inside the trigger guard, in front of the trigger on the bottom. On his the nubb is behind the trigger on the frame more. As far as the harder polymer, I don't think its a strength thing, I think its a flex thing. You can feel the difference and tapping it you can hear the difference. To make sure, I took my finger nail and pressed it into the bottom of the grip, very micro indentation just to see (it wasn't too difficult). On his, I can try to push my finger nail into it all I want, cutting back and forth and it doesn't leave any mark. If you look closely at the plastic surface you can see a slight difference too.

I had no idea that the base plate area of the grip had changed. I thought everyone was talking about the beaver tail (upper) portion of the back of the grip. In the photo, is the new version (2010) on the right? Thanks for sharing.

Sorry about the picture with the wrong gun. The one I received has one adjustment screw and fits my PM40 very well.

nice gun. I had one competely redone by Bowie tactical and it shot in the same hole, but it was to hairy for me. Definiltey it was a single action IMO when he got done with itj. No slop, no gritty M &P feel, Dawson sights and grip stippling and other stuff. Lost my ass when I sold it to, but it was truly one hell of a shooter..
