I personally don't care, but someone who really likes the look of the undercut slide and ordered one from Bud's or others on the net, and got a flat-nosed would be pissed.

Somewhere down the line it will effect resale value, too.

Serial # might be the only differentiator. Curious why Kahr hasn't updated their pics. PM45 only? Wonder if CM models willl be undercut?

a placelike buds, look at the Kahr webb site stilltoday, they still show the old stype PM9 and PM40 slides...

All know here I am very fond of the old style blunt nose slide. The gun is smaller, lighter and that .020 inch gain, GAINS NADDA.. I have no idea what kahr would do if under warranty (5 years) ur blunt nose slide went south on u, as the lower section is identiacl but they would have to replace you with the new style slide and barrel and recoil assembly before all would be well, all internals in the either slide will interchange and are identical.

I was looking at both the photos posted by Ninjatarian ( Pg2 ). His first photo indicating the old slide shows a longer verticle line at the front of the slide with a small cut out at the bottom. The second photo which Ninja shows as the new design has a shorter verticle line with a more pronounced cut out at the bottom. Neither has a beveled slide that I can see.
Comparing the photos by Renscoe (Pg4 ) The first photo indicates old style yet it looks exactly like Ninjas second photo ( new style ).
Renscoe's second picture shows New style and this one definitely has a beveled slide. It looks like there are 3 different slide configurations based on the 4 photos posted. Did I miss something ? I aplogize for confusing things, but now I am really lost. Jocko help me. JL

nope just two slides, actually today only one slide is available. Photos can be deceiving. If u had both in ur hands the blunt nose vbersionis very obvious. Lots of blunt nose versions out there yet, some good used nes are going t show up . I have my eye of a friend of mine who has the blunt nose version and is thinking of selling it as he said he never uses it. I wonder why I even need another one but again I just do love that smaller version PM9..

Would the newer design help with CC? So do you guys prefer the old or new design? Why or why not?

I am probalby one of the very few who does perfer the older style blunt nose slides. For CC purposes either will do the same thing. We are not talking about much difference actually. I tend to resist change for change purposes only... Actually no one complains about it other than me, ..

Kenny, the new design should provide smoother holstering as the front is narrower. I suppose it would be easier on your holster at the same time. Otherwise I can't think of any benefit.

That diagram is only for the sake of sights. Doesn't have anything to do with the front of the slide or recoil assembly. Found that out when I talked to Kahr about night sights

so, it only shows if u have an earlier dovetail. has nadda to do with new or old style slides..
