Just wanted to report that I sent in my free mag form when I bought
the CM9 on Sep 16th via email. Got an immediate confirmation response
via email telling me it would be processed right away and despite
the "Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery" mine arrived in less than 3 weeks.
Like the 6 rd mag that came with the gun neither of the mags was drop
free so I pushed the follower down and held it in place with a punch
and used a pair of channel locks and squeezed the lips in the middle where
it was rubbing. Walla, two drop free mags for my CM9
Also, I hear a lot of folks having issues with the 7 rd mags but both
this new one I got and my old one that came with my PM9 have been
perfect. Never had any problems with them. Not sure what I'm doing
wrong.....heh.
Lastly, as some of you who have been following my CM9 purchase may
recall, this gun was intended for my wife to carry as an alternative to her
Ruger LC9. After putting about 400rds through it to totally satisfy
myself that it was reliable, I finally got out to the range with her
to let her have a go with it.
Here's the results......

She wound up making pretty much one ragged hole at 7 yards
with about 40 rounds. That woman scares me sometimes..........
Suffice to say she loves the gun and especially loves the Crimson Trace
laser. It's hard for her to see the sights without her reading glasses
and the laser is turning out to be an excellent solution.
My biggest concern was her ability to work the slide but we came up with
a pretty good drill when she loads a mag to try to slingshot first and if it
doesn't drop immediately smack the bottom of the mag which will always
drop the slide. She was able to successfully slingshot most of the time
but the few times it didn't drop she was able to fall back to the backup
drill.
So the irony is that after all this commotion with the CM9, she shot
her Ruger LC9 today also and shot it just as well as the Kahr, heh....so
we'll probably keep both guns.
