Rainman48314, you are absolutely right. The first thing that attracted me to the PM9 (besides the caliber and size) was the looks. I knew my friend who gifted that gun to me, wanted it to look as good as it shoots. Plus, aethetics plays a HUGE part in the value of every gun out there. Kahr obviously knows this, and wanted to create one more satisfied customer. Very good outcome, indeed!God is good, ALL the time!

Happy Thoughts!
I'm expecting my thoughts will be very happy, and gladly outspoken as soon as Fedex shows up on my doorstep tomorrow or the next day. I'm also hoping the thoughts of everyone at Kahrtalk will lean a little more positive toward Kahr after this story comes to a happy ending. We all should give Kahr a well-deserved pat on the back, a high five, or at least a thumbs up. A little appreciation goes a long way!Originally posted by Thunder71 View PostThat's great to hear, can't wait to hear your thoughts once the new one arrives!God is good, ALL the time!

Doubting is Sometimes Cool! (Mini Sermon Inside)
Rip...I've always thought everyone has given Thomas a bad rap all these years. So he doubted and wanted proof that Jesus was who He said he was. He was doing exactly as he was taught..."If anyone comes saying he is ME, don't believe him. Make them prove it" was the instruction given by Jesus. So, Thomas doubted when he saw Jesus alive after His burial!Originally posted by ripley16 View PostCount me among the doubting Thomas' that are rightfully, (happily), surprised by this positive outcome. "Wow" is right. Kudos to Kahr C.S.
Thomas was never scolded or told that he was wrong. He was simply given the proof he required.
In a similar way, no one is wrong for wanting a company like Kahr to PROVE their integrity. Like Thomas, it's okay to doubt Kahr, Glock, or any other gun manufacturer....but, it's also okay to be HAPPY and even SURPRISED when good stuff happens at the hands of Customer Service. Thanks for giving Kudos to Kahr.
Sermonette completed. And everybody on Kahrtalk said, "Amen!"
Can I get a witness?God is good, ALL the time!

Which is it. I'm a witness or Amen.

New Slide Arrives from Kahr!!!!
Hey, All...
Kahr received my slide with faulty lettering only five days ago. As promised, a BRAND NEW SLIDE ASSEMBLY arrived via FedEx today. Take a look at the pics below and see for yourself. The lettering is PERFECT, and the assembly included a brand new barrel, recoil spring guide, recoil spring, and sights!
Obviously, the newest version of the PM9's slide assembly is slightly different from my older version. The pics show that the new barrel and recoil assembly is slightly LONGER than the older version. Jason at Kahr said there should be no problem with the fit, and there should be no need for breaking in this new slide assembly.
Before installing the new assembly on the frame, I will lube the new slide, barrel, recoil set per Lube Chart on this forum. I'll post a pic soon of the gun completely reassembled.
Thanks, again, Kahr, for fantastic customer service!!! (Wish allglock could be here...)God is good, ALL the time!

New Slide Assembled!
Lookin' good from all angles! Next, I'm going to polish my barrel and feed ramp to the max, then coat it with some good grease (Pro-Gold). I may post pics if the difference is really noticeable.
Again, Kahr Service, THANK YOU!!!! Your outstanding service and drive toward excellence has convinced me to ask Santa for one of your .45's, likely a PM45.God is good, ALL the time!

But even if they didn't, I don't think the stamping requires a replacement slide.
I believe whether it was gifted or not is irrelevant to the issue.
