True. The real issue was honor someone else with this gun, no nit-picking. As posted previously, it was the Gifter of the gun (a great friend of mine) that gave me the idea to contact Kahr about the stamping. He wanted me to have as close to a perfect gun as much as I did. Like a few here on the forum, my wife thought we shouldn't worry about those minor flaws, especially since the gun performed perfectly. That's when I came on here to see what others would do.

When Kahr received the pics and the slide, they didn't give it a second thought. Everything with Kahr happened so fast and efficiently, I felt like I was being wheeled into the ER. It was THEIR IDEA to replace the whole slide assembly, not mine. Of course, I obliged them. Only five days later I'm posting the pics and praising the Lord for Kahr and Kahrtalk. It's been a good ride, and my confidence in Kahr has been reaffirmed.

I'm hoping my good experience will sweeten the taste of Kahr in the mouths of others who have been less fortunate in the past. Kahr is truly improving and continues to press onward in their Customer Satisfaction Dept.
God is good, ALL the time!

For all those who are satisfied with Kahr products, and their service.... Merry Christmas!

For the rest of you n'er-do-wells, anal retentive, insecure, self glorifying pukes... Humbug!

No bad guy who ever got shot during the course of his chosen profession ever felt either more, less hurt, or died a more slow, and painful death, on account of the roll markings.
No DA ever gave a break to anyone because their roll markings were crisp.
No prosecuting attorney ever wanted less money in a settlement, because he felt sorry that your roll markings were uneven.

              And Happy New Year too.

Unless it's marked as a blem (small b on the trigger guard) then they should make it right for you.

Boy this is an old thread revival.

                    Happy New Year.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Muggsy so true, but then again, why select, or accept the less than stellar pistol in the first place, unless it was a gift, in which case you needn't look it in the mouth, nor its stamps/roll marks for that matter.

Folks do have a right to complain I suppose. A better "complaint" would be for dealers and distribution to get "stuck" with pistols that were not up to snuff, sending them back to Kahr, and having them marked at BLEM units. I've gotten stamps on Smith & Wesson revolvers and Ruger revolvers that was uneven... and folks gripe about that too, but they love their Smiths and Glocks and Rugers and HKs and Sigs... oh yeah, my Sig P220 had its serial number so ridiculously faint on the barrel, its almost gone! Happens!

Fortunately, the gifter (my friend) also noticed the blemishes, so he's all good with returning it. And no, it was NOT discounted for this reason. I'll post Kahr's response in the next post and let you know their response to this. Good thoughts, Ikeo74!
This answered my question! I was going to suggest that your friend possibly purchased a blem at a discounted price. I guess not.
