To me, common sense should prevail. We have an armed security team at our church. Three couples go out to eat after church each week, Everyone in the group knows the guys are armed. Well, last week one of the guys was recovering from surgery and not at church so we went to his house where his wife prepared Sunday dinner. When we pulled into his yard I put my sidearm in the glove box and locked it, as did the other guy in his vehicle. We knew jackets would come off and I didn't want to sit down at the table with my SIG P220 strapped on. Nobody would have objected but it just didn't seem right to me. Now, one of the women had a tiny Beretta in her purse and I still had my 'onegun' S&W 442 in my pocket but at least we didn't look as if we were having dinner at the Sopranos house.
If I were in a situation where someone requested I not carry in their home I would honor the request as long as I felt secure for myself and my wife. If I didn't feel secure I wouldn't go in.

In my state the concealed carry law outright states that your permit does not allow you to carry in another persons home basically without permission. Some are my wife's friends and I don't plan on asking permission. Don't ask, don't tell. Mine stays locked up in the glove compartment in my car.
Now if I know they are pro carry which many are, it rides with me inside. I don't get out much though since my wife cooks better and she invites them here. All the better. The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

I carry outside about 90 to 95% of the time. Inside the house there is always a gun within reach 24/7. I don't preach pro or anti gun to anyone. If people ask I'll give my opinion on the matter, but very few know I do carry. Just don't think it's any of there business nor is it any of my business if they don't. We each have to dance to our own drummer.
IMO though if your going to stop a violent act coming your way you better be ready to be violent to the point of someone is going to die or be very hurt and I don't plan on it being me or a member of my family if I can help it. I'm not interested in hurting anyone but will show no slack to anyone trying to hurt one of my family members. I do not carry a weapon in someone elses home who I know it would make nervous, out of respect. To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

He'd rather you were killed/raped than have his insurance costs go up?
But, I respect that you respect his dumb decision.Yes, I am a gun lovin' woman!
