Working as security guard tomorrow

All went well at the house, no one bothered it. I was very relieved. The little jerkball kids threw a fit about not wanting the Marines to do their thing at the memorial, so Stacy caved in on that, but she did get the folded flag, and of course the kids were furious.
This is what is going on in Stacy's life right now. She just had part of a lung removed from lung cancer, and is halfway through a 4 treatement chemo regimen. Has a pack of vultures swarming around waiting for her to cave in and let them ransack the house. Her own mother wouldn't speak to her or give her a hug, because Stacy let her own son move back in with her for awhile, I guess the son stole something from the grandma, anyway, grandma is very well off and waves her checkbook around and expects everyone to do her bidding and do as she says or they get cut out of the will, I guess the will has been redrawn at least a dozen times.
For some good news, Stacy will get a nice life insurance settlement, and she did find a house she could afford on 5 acres which will allow her to keep a horse, she loves horses dearly, and the new house is much closer to me and other friends than the place she's at which is about an hour away, So she put earnest money down, and her mom had a fit about it being "too soon" when the day before mom had told her she needs to find a place because she can't stay where she is due to it being the ranch foreman's home and is part of his compensation as ranch foreman, how crazy is that mom? The ranch owner has told her she can stay at least until the chemo is over, but I guess she wants out of there as soon as she can. Her new house will be ready to occupy in 30 days I guess (she wants to have a fence up for the horse before she moves in), but she was excited about that, and gave her a little bit of happiness and something to look forward too, and mom pitches a hissy fit over it and trys to ruin it all. I guess her brother is going to have some words with mom, and tell her what a ***** she is acting like. Mom just loves it when the kids are having hard times and have to ask for money so she can wave her check book around and act like a royal *****. Oh and she just loves to judge people too, if they don't look and act the way she thinks they should then they are nothing but trash.

I am just staying out of all that and being a supportive friend the best I can. I just can't believe all the grief people are giving her at this time in her life. I too hope karma comes around and bites some folks on the ass.

I think she was dealing with the vultures pretty well, but when your own crazy mother turns against you, that has to be a punch in the gut. I had some wicked thoughts about that old biddy today. I really wanted to call her up and tell her what a no good dried up old judgemantal bi tch she was an that all of her kids hated her and she could shove her money up her a$$. But that would just make things worse, and I wouldn't do that anyway. She's been a bi tch to Stacy all her life because she didn't turn out to be the little princess she wanted. Stacy was born blind in one eye and that kind of disqualified her from little miss Wichita pagaents and that kind of stuff, and she kind of turned into a tomboy, and hung out with her brothers instead of being the little lady mom wanted her to be. And the old hag has never got over it or forgiven Stacy for it. They started to get a little closer when Stacy had her lung surgery, but the first time she didn't get her way she raised a big stink. I really don't understand how someone can be that hateful to their own child. I'm just can't believe how she is acting.
Stacy's son got into some pills for awhile, and stole some jewelry or something from granny to get his fix, (after Stacy told her not to take him in) but the kid's gone thru rehab, and is flying straight now, and I don't see why he can't have a 2nd chance, but granma can't forgive or forget anything, and Stacy let him move in, so now she's on the gotohell list along with her son. I think the real issue is that granma was going to take him in an "raise him right" cause obviously Stacy couldn't do it, and it backfired on her, so she has to blame everyone associated with it.
Oh and at the hospital when she found out David was dead, she went into hysterics, milking it for all it was worth, you'd think it'd been her husband that died, anyway, they way she carried on and said some things, made Stacy feel like she was upset that David had died and Stacy was her responsiblity again and that's why it was such a tragedy, it was all about her. Stacy said she just wanted her out there as quick as she could get gone.
Sorry for all the ranting, but It's been a great help to have a place I can get this off my chest and it not go anywhere else. Thanks for putting up with me and thanks for all the comments and suggestions. You guys rock!

The way some people act, as you say to their own kids and many time to their own parents just boggles my mind.

You be sure to tell Stacy that there's a passel of guys and all my cyber brides that are behind her in all this.

Seems like she has enough to deal with herself without trying to please all these other players. (Vultures).

Makes me really want to come down there and kick names and take butt. GOSH I hate vultures!

Make sure you go back and read what the old biddy did in the hospital Bawanna, shows a little more how she is. I'll pass the good wishes on to Stacy, she will appreciate them I am sure. She is such a kind and loving person, that all this just boggles my mind. Life is really kicking her a$$ hard right now, and then her own mom turns on her. I just don't see how you could do that to your own child. I really hope Stacy's brother had a talk with her and made her understand some things, but if it's not something she wants to hear, it's in one ear and out the other. I wish he'd pimp slap the old biddy first to get her attention. Well, not really, but you know what I mean.

Thanks for being the man you are and helping the lady out. Doing the right thing is always the right thing. As for the mother, she'll have her "reward" someday. Some folks are so wrapped up in themselves, they can't see how they hurt their own.

All you can do is support Stacy. Keep out of all the other drama. It's just not worth it.

You're a great friend, Tom. I'm glad your day went well as far as the vultures not coming to roost. I hope Stacy can get her new place set up and get through her chemo therapy with success. It's a b!tch moving when you're well. I hope she's getting some help with that.

Thanks, she'll have help moving and putting up fence and things. She has to wait a month for the lady to move out, so she'll have time to box things up and get them ready to go. She goes for chemo next week, then just has to go one more time in a month or so. Then things will get somewhat better. It takes awhile for that to wear off, but she should be ok in few months. Wynn you are right, I am dead dog tired and got to get up at 4:00am to get out there for the scattering of the ashes, which is the real ceremony as David and Stacy wanted. Thanks everyone and I'll catch up later. After tomorrow things should start to be a little more manageable for Stacy, she has a lot to do still, but she can take her time now and do things as she feels up to it.
I hope you don't think I posting all this to show what a good guy I am or some crap like that, I just really needed to tell someone about what a crappy deal this is for her. I'm just doing the same for her as she would for me. I can't hardly believe all this is happening to such a sweet person. Since no good deed goes unpunished I'm sure I'll get drug into some kind of crap, guess I've already done so when I showed up to help keep the kids from stealing everything that wasn't nailed down. I imagine the rumour mill is already started and that I'm her new man or some crap like that. You know how small town gossip is. Doesn't really matter to me, I don't really know any one out there. I just don't like that they'd think that about Stacy. Those two were definately in love, something many of us will never experience, it was like being around a couple of high school lovers or something. It was very special.

Chris, Jfootin, Deano, Wynn, Bawanna, everyone, She just brings out the best in most people. She is the kindest sweetest person I know, and been my "sister" since we met when we both were doing chemo back in 2001. We just really became good friends, and talk on the phone almost daily, and her husband had no problem with it at all, I was always welcome in their home, and I just couldn't stand by and watch these things happening to her without giving her a hand. The day David died, she asked if I could come out and sit with her that night, cause it was too creepy to be there alone, so I did, and have been doing what I can since. That's how good of friends we are. It may look funny to have a woman friend that close to you, without hanky panky going on, but that's the way it is. I'm fixing to head out for the spreading of his ashes which was the only ceremony he and she wanted. It's funny, she did have a lot of friends at the service, but few have offered to help. Of course her country neighbors have brought her food and things, but she couldn't get one of her girl friends to sit with her the night David died, and things like that, so she asked me and I was proud she asked me to do it. We stayed up and talked all night about David and all the things that she'd be missing, and she got a lot off her chest.

Good for you and for her Tom. I know how it is to have to spill it out thru some venue. All of us here see and hear of the bad folks out there in the world. We shake our heads, give a tisk-tisk and wonder about the victims. It is good to see your posts and remember that good folks step up with their time and risk their own emotions for the freinds in their life. We all hope to be that guy when called on and hope someone like you is there for us or ours when we need that help.
