Maybe he got lonely and got the urge to go home to visit his mother at the Coyote den. You know, like Snoopy did a couple weeks ago.

He'll be back in a few days. I would have named him "Yotie".

Porky came back today!!! I was so glad to see my little buddy again! I wonder if he wandered over to the neighbors and the kids tried to keep him. I would printed pictures off last night and was going to go around tonite and ask the neightbors if they had seen him. I was going to last night but had some errands to run and didn't get home until late. Sure was glaad to see him. Thanks for all your kind words and concerns everyone. I appreciated them. Before I left yesterday, I drove all around calling for hiim, and thought I would have heard him barking if a neighbor had him in a back yard or something.

Fantastic news!!!...Time to get him a chip installed...Had a Lab one time that was a great dog but had A.D.D and the first thing shiny to come along that caught his eye would do it and away he would go...With the chip we found him twice...He was a great dog and we finally had to put him down due to old age and it was the single hardest thing I ever had to do...Sometimes our love for an animal is as strong as our love for our human family...Glad you got him back!!!!!

Living alone, I have Porky and my calico cat Callie. for companions. I got the cat back when I was living in the apartments, since I didn't have anyplace for the dog to roam, and it seemed like a cat would just work out better than a dog. The cat is pretty cool, knows some tricks, and has been a good little buddy too. I'm very thankful that Porky came home, he's danged hard headed and stubborn and a pain in the arse a lot, but he's a good little dog for the most part, and I was worried sick about him. I was pretty worried about him becoming pit bull bait. I would have rather found hm dead on the side of the road I think than to think of him being fed to a fighting dog. Pit Bulls have a bad rap, they are good dogs for the most part, just some have bad owners that treat them cruelly and make them fight. I wouldn't mind having a mixed mutt with about half Pit Bull in him. I think that would make a good dog. Anyway, I sure thank the man upstairs for keeping him safe and bringing him home to me.

That's great news, Tom. I hope he has or gets a collar with contact information, but not necessarily his name on it. That gives info to contact you, but not to control the dog... with his name.

LOL, no lipstick on the collar.
I just love you folks, you are some of the best people I've "met" on the net. You are good people with great big ole hearts. I want to thank you for your support, well wishes, prayers, thoughts, and everything. Those of you who have pets, know how much they mean to you, especially if you live alone. Porky, and Calllie (my calico cat) are my best buddies. Callie has been with me for over a year now, I got her when I was still living at the apartments, and didn't want to have a dog there without a backyard he could roam around in. Not knocking you folks in apartments with dogs, I just wasn't comfortable with taking on the responsibility of having a dog there. I'm not always up for a 6:00 am potty walk, rain or shine, cold or hot, and all you have to do to have a dog in an apartment, while a cat is pretty self sufficient, and you can leave for a couple days and they'll be fine if you leave food and water out. A dog is a whole different story and can't be left alone for much more than a day or overnight. Out here on the farm, I was letting Porky roam free, but I'll start putting him in the dog kennel on the side of the barn when I leave. I'd leave him inside, but he still has too many accidents, unless I crate him, and I hate to put him in there for very long except to sleep. He has plenty of room out there in the kennel, and can go in and out of the barn as he pleases. It's shaded both morning and afternoon, so he can stay fairly cool and has a big pan of water to drink. I'd let him roam the backyard, but it's not escape resistant like the kennel is.
I have to call on July 7th to make an appointment for his shots and to be neutered, but will have to take him to a different vet to be microchipped. I hate to neuter a male dog, but it should help to keep him home and usually makes them a better dog to have in the house.
Once again thank you all for your kindness and concern. It helped me a lot to know I have friends that shared my worry about my little buddy, and were hoping along with me that he'd find his way home, or maybe turn up in one of the shelters.
                                Thank you very much.
                                Tom
