Boyo, it only took you 8 days to figure this one out.

Feel free to grovel although I have no idea what good it may do. I have very little to offer.

If you want to harass Jocko, thats a ok. I'd suggest a large well vented mail receptacle.

That was quick!! Vol II wasn't as good as Vol I as it had a lot of filler where it would introduce and resolve side stories that didn't reflect on the root subject. But, it does answer the questions and puts all the characters to bed. If you watch for it, Vol II is likely to appear on the list within a month or so.

We've been all over the country and the wife is deciding that she likes east Tennessee best of all. She likes it better than Colorado. I have to get her to Wyoming or somewhere to check that out. I kinda like out west but I could settle in east Tennessee if I needed to it's just too close to the east coast. I'm wanting some land and open space.

See that's what I love about Texas, we have all that. Just pick which one you want most of and drive a day to get the rest.

                  • Had an interesting days today at jury duty. It was a DWI trial and the DA was very sharp and quick, like what you would expect of an DA. The defense attorney was a buffoon both in appearance and asking questions of the jury. In fact he went first and asked one question "Do you believe a person os innocent until proven guilty?" Juror #7 said "Not if he was arrested drunk and failed a blood test. I'd presume that guy guilty." The attorney hadn't expected that and tripped all over his tongue and sat down. The judge was alarmed and asked him "Aren't you going to ask any more questions?" He just mumbled no.

Well the DA made up for it as he went on and on. "He asked each juror "Do you agree with the statement that 'Buzz driving is drunk driving'?" I said I don't know what he means by "Buzz" then he dove in deeper and we had a dialog which eventually led to impaired driving. He tied it into alcohol and drugs to which I replied that and driving while sleep deprived and a lot of other things that can impair your ability to drive. He came back to Buzz so I finally asked him to define buzz. To that the judge who obviously got a kick out of the whole exchange said the law does not define the term "buzz" nor does it define the term "drugs".

Then we got into reasonable doubt. I made the statement that reasonable is in the eye of the beholder, that each of us here likely has own own threshold of what's reasonable. So he moved through "beyond a fantasy of doubt" to "shred of doubt" which I agreed with, and wrapped it up with "Could you convict if you had any doubt he was guilty?" to which I replied "If I have any doubt that the defendant is guilty I cannot vote him guilty."

I don't understand why, but the ADA chose to exclude me from the jury. That's good for another year.

                      • I like her attitude that you CAN fight your body's aging process. A lot of folks are afraid taking hormones are unnatural and a bad thing and too often they get that from their doctors. I say go for it. There was a sig line sometime back about doing a brody and sliding into the grave sideways, meaning live life to the fullest and then go. Might be something to that. You see the Vitamine T adds on TV running like crazy. The baby boomers are ready to fight! Sometimes I wish I were that young.

                          How to control squirrels‏
                          Florida Squirrels

Now I don't care who you are, what religion you are, where you live, or how old you are..........this is funny!

There were five houses of religion in a small Florida town:

                          The Presbyterian Church,

                          The Baptist Church ,

                          The Methodist Church ,

                          The Catholic Church and

                          The Jewish Synagogue...

Each church and Synagogue was over run with pesky squirrels.

One day,the Presbyterian Church called a meeting to decide what to do about the squirrels. After much prayer and consideration they determined that the squirrels were pre-destined to be there and they shouldn't interfere with God's divine will.

In The BAPTIST CHURCH the squirrels had taken up habitation in the baptistery. The deacons met and decided to put a cover on the baptistery and drown the squirrels in it.
The squirrels escaped somehow and there were twice as many there the next week.

The Methodist Church got together and decided that they were not in a position to harm any of God's creation. So, they humanely trapped the squirrels and set them free a few miles outside of town. Two days later the squirrels were back.

But......The Catholic Church came up with the best and most effective solution..They baptized the squirrels and registered them as members of the church. Now they only see them on Christmas, Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday and Easter.

Not much was heard about the Jewish Synagogue, but they took one squirrel and had a short service with him called circumcision and they haven't seen a squirrel on the property since.

                          Keep going.....

For all who appreciate the outdoors, this is the rarely photographed South Florida Squirrel.
