I think my fever is lessening and I should be okay by the end of the week. Given enough time I usually talk myself out of anything. Has to be really good for me to take the leap. Guess that's why I proposed to my wife on our third date over 46 years ago.

That usually gives me time to talk myself out of it.
But every once in a while I come across something
that I just have to have.
Then all bets are off!

It'a good thing that retirement income doesn't afford me the opportunity to just rush out and buy the guns I want when I want or I'd be up to my ears in them. Many times I've backed off a pistol or rifle I thought I really wanted while I was saving for it. Once I was really passionate about buying a M1 Carbine. Then one day I picked up a brand new 580 Mini 14 ranch rifle. The passion for the M1 carbine left the first time I shot the mini14. I absolutely love those new Mini's.
They say the first step to recovery is to admit you have a problem. So here goes... My Name is Popeye and I'm a gunaholic and I have to stop this nonsense of buying guns I do not need.Ok now that I have that off my shoulders. I'm on my way to the GS and to Wally World to buy large quanties of various sizes of ammo and cleaning supplies.Cause I'ma gonna need them. No more rifles or pistols will be left unshot. I'm going to sistematically rotate shooting them as suggested in an earlier reply.
To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

That notch in the rail is supposed to be there
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
--Thomas Jefferson (1764).

That's part of my problem.
I've got about 11 years to go for retirement.
I'm near my max income.
Finally completed all my child support obligations.
And I've had a belly full of bad girlfriends and wives.
Don't want any part of that anymore.
So I actually have money

I guess it's too huge to comprehend. None of those thing remotely apply to me.
I'm happy for you though.http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!

Resistance would be futile in that particular case for sure, at least for me and apparently for you as well. We both agree so it must be the right thing to do. Right?http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!

That's what I meant when I mentioned in the original post.
I think I might be done buying guns unless something really special comes along with a price tag to match.
Always seems like when your not looking that's when the deals search you out.To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

Yeah...I'm done after every purchase of every addiction, vice, and collection.
Part of the therapy or relief from guilt for a bit.
When you can say, years later:
Hi I'm state your name, I'm a XXXX-aholic, its been many years since my last firearm purchase, or whatever, then you are on your way.
Good luck, as its a tough one!
