Who thinks that 111 dollars is a tad ridiculous for shipping overnight via Fedex from TN to Central FL? I made a deal on another forum to buy a pistol and the price was agreed apon with shipping included. The seller said they would cover shipping as long as it wasn't 65 plus and now wants me to send more money. I never agreed to pay extra for shipping and I think the seller is out of their mind for paying that much for shipping. Thoughts anyone?

Overnight? Why?
With over $1000 worth of insurance, it once cost me more than $70 to ship a Kimber to New Yawk . . . but it was my first time shipping a firearm and I went a little overboard. It would be so nice if something made sense for a change.

because they aren't a ffl and to ship from a non ffl to a ffl it has to be overnight. yeah last time I shipped via fed ex and ups overnight to a distance that was furter was about 65 bucks. Thanks everyone!Focus on your front sight..... The rest should be blurry!

I think there are new rules now that will allow it to be sent 2nd day.The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

I once paid 71 bucks to ship from Ohio to Indiana. After I called the FFL in Indiana, She said I should have boxed it up and sent it ground through UPS and not informed them it was a handgun. She said she receives firearms all the time this way. If I ever ship a firearm again, I will just go through my FFL, He said he would charge me a flat rate of 45 dollars anywhere in the lower 48. ( He can ship through any carrier).sigpic

I agree, I am not going to send more funds... he emailed me a copy of the receipt but either way I never agreed to pay that much for the shipping. My ffl used to charge 35 shipped but now charges 45. I go that route 99% of the time!Focus on your front sight..... The rest should be blurry!

JFootin, are you sure that was a tracking number and not a delivery confirmation number? There is a subtle but important difference there. Dunno if USPS does tracking.-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
