Where to get a pm9 in mass?

i live minutes from kahrs factory in worcester yet i cannot find any dealers who stock the compliant pm9. i always like to support local companies and from what i hear these kahrs are a great carry. i have yet to see or hold 1 of these and would def like to. the shop closest to me is listed as a dealer but he doesnt care for/stock them because of their price & he is a firm believer in a revolver as a carry. any help from the locals? thanks

I found one at the willmington gun show on sunday. I have been all around the state looking and all the shops say they are very hard to get. I was at AAA guns in w.springfield today and they said they have three on order. You might want to see if they have a web site. They have never seen one either so I showed them mine.

There is supposed to be a gun show at the Big E in W.springfield this weekend. Make sure to ask at the tables as I didnt see this one but they brought it out after I asked. I would go on Saturday as the last show all the good guns were bought up. A dealer we talk to at all the shows sold almost all he had the first day. People are still scared and buying.

i wanted to go to springfield show sunday but i am actually taking class to get my ltc in ct. i went to the last show that company put on in marlboro and it was more like a swap meet. i asked around the few dealers there and no luck. thanks for info about aaa, i'll call em. how do you like it?

Havent had a chance to fire it yet. Will be going next friday I hope. I will post a report. I have been playing with it this week and the mag button is a little weird. Makes a scrape feel and sometimes the mags dont eject. Hopefully it will break in and smooth up.

Must be great to have a dealer representing your product that doesn't like them cause of cost and prefers revolvers. Me thinks if I was Kahr I'd be looking for a new dealer. You can't just walk into the factory and see what they can do to help ya? I know they can't sell ya one but surely they could be a good neighbor and connect you with a distributor to order one from. Sounds to me like the internet is the way to go for you. Just have one sent to another shop, not the first one you mentioned and pick it up there.

the polymer kahrs will not eject the magazine completely out of the gun. That by kahr standards is also normal. Some will, some don't . My PM9 with over 25,800 rounds through it will not with two of my 3 magazines, so probalby it is more mag related than anythibng. Personally I don't care one way or the other. I never hav eto worry about a mag popping out and go all over the place, and being I don't even carry a spare magazine, it is a no brainer. I would also say I am very fast indeed of taking out magazine to. The scrape will go away in time but personally give the mag rlease button a little touch when you feel the magazine hit that hard spot and it will let the magazine just slide in place really easy. the mag relase being steel and the magazine being steel, one might indeed hear alittle scraping noise upon insertion, tap the button and u won't.

Check on Gunbroker.com or many other places for dealers in your area who will receive your firearm for you and what their fee is. These guys are vetted a bit and get reviews, so choose well -- you should have a good list and locations, maps, etc. The Internet is fantastic. Shopping online and buying out of state generally saves you the tax at least, which is a great savings, but the best thing is that you can shop in the whole country... not just your state or locality.
The Gunbroker-listed dealer I switched to charged me $25 total, including the Quick Check call. The dealer I engaged at first, wanted $50 fee plus the $5 QC call and tax on those fees... close to $60!
Good luck. I must say that I don't know anything about your state's laws regarding in-state sales or out-of-state sales being received in-state as I was discussing, with respect to required "safety enhancements".

We cant buy out of state unless it is on some fictitious list that no one knows about. Top it off with an AG that prosecutes ammo shipped into the state if minors are there and you see why business is afraid to do anything here. Only Kahr we can buy here is the one I got. That is why they are so hard to find. Other states just get the regular one and save hundreds of dollars.

I know it's tough to move and start over, but if you ever just get the urge, down here in Florida we can even have ammo IN our guns when we have them for defense. And our license is good in about 34 other states.
We aren't restricted to firearms, either, any legal weapon can be carried concealed with our permits. I sometimes carry two or three kinds to have a choice of less than lethal force. That's mainly for pets and other critters, though. A stun gun discharging has kept large dogs away. I have never shocked any -- the light and noise was enough.

I'm not trying to rub it in or anything, just saying you could do worse than move down here. You can get away from some of that snow and ice, too... and state income tax

Because there hasn't been a Mass compliant version until just recently, most people around here have never seen or heard of the brand. Where in Ma are you? And welcome to the site!

Evidently in Mass you have to buy one of these. It's ironic that Kahr is located in Mass, and yet they had to retool one of their biggest sellers by adding an external safety and LCI just to sell it in their own state.

Second Serial Number
This model has an additional serial number to the primary serial number which is molded on the outside of the dust cover area. The second serial number is engraved on a ¼” pin surface and embedded inside the dust cover. The approximate size of the lettering is .020 and is engraved on the surface of the pin. Viewing of the number is attainable with10X magnification
Loaded Chamber Indicator
This model is designed to provide physical indication if there is a bullet loaded in the chamber. The product is designed with a lever mounted on the top of slide. The lever is marked as Indicator in red lettering. When a bullet is chambered it pushes the lever upward and out of position. The operator will visually see the lever as it is raised up. Also the operator will be able to feel the indicator as being out of its normal resting position as it will not be flush with the top of the slide, thus warning the operator that the firearm is loaded.
External Safety
This model has, in addition to the internal safety, an external safety that will prevent the firearm from firing when the safety is in safe position. The product has an external lever with two settings. When the lever is pushed up the red dot is visible; the firearm is in the armed position and ready to fire with the pull of the trigger. When the lever is pushed down, the red dot is hidden and the firearm is in safe position and will not function with the pull of the trigger. The safety works in the following sequence. When the lever is in down (Safe) position the connecting cam on the lever pushes the trigger bar out of position thus disconnecting it from the cocking cam. Thus, even when the trigger is pulled, there is no contact between the trigger bar and the cocking cam and thus there is no fire. When the lever is pushed up (fire/armed position) the cam moves out of place and the trigger bar moves up, again connecting with the cocking cam and ready to fire with the pull of the trigger.
