I wanted one of the .40 cal laser rounds that flashes a dot on the target when you dry fire but it seemed kind of pricy at the time but now that ammo may go over the moon it might be the perfect home dry fire training device...
They get good results from the magazine articles I have read...I may go ahead and order one for my M&P .40...Looks like fun and a good practice tool...." An armed society is a polite society".... Robert A. Heinlein

Thanks for your reply. I'd still like to hear from someone who uses this product, to give us first-hand information. I'm interested in learning what the battery life is on the cartridge laser, what it costs to replace the battery, and what target and how many are recommended.NRA Life Member

I used this one at a buddies house:

In a Taurus PT 24/7 9mm holding this:
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/510..._vc=OBv1116718
It was fun, but hated the gun (ergos sucked for me). It was cool to be able to pull from the holster (some Fobus thing) and take the "shot" safely. We used a laser pointer pen to do the display and reset bit and that worked good. Only downside, forget double taps...
they have a new system:
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/159...-target-system
That sounds cool, anyone here tried it yet?
No Idea on Battery life, my buddy has not had his that long. The target was hung on a bedroom wall, on a nail that (normally) holds a family photo (the wives were out shopping) during our shooting session. We shot from different doorways down the hall and in different lighting conditions. Normally (wife at home) the target hangs on a nail in the garage...
May have to get one myself soon, but I need a bunch of those $80 buck "bullets" (every dang caliber) to shoot with my fleet.
I was once asked if I was "a paranoid for carrying my Kahr".
"Nope" I said, "just prepared".
" prepared for what" he asked?

I feel sorry for those people but u build on a coast line and what the fokk do u expect and then expect the rest of the cuntry to bail u out because u were stupid. The fact that I did not try it was my own dang fault.
Oh and he said that he added the picture frame hardware to the backplate after he bought it to hang it on a wall. Sorry for any mis-info...I was once asked if I was "a paranoid for carrying my Kahr".

Russian stuff runs on it all the time and I'd probably use it in those but not anything I really like.
That being said I'd probably buy it anyhow if they aren't gouging on price and just have it on hand. Beats the heck out of throwing rocks.
Crap, I just missed a big Rat with my S&W Model 41, should have been an easy shot at 25 yards or so but I haven't pulled a trigger in 4 months so I must be a little rusty?

That notch in the rail is supposed to be there

Just for giggles, went by my local Walmart to check out the ammo supply.
Two boxes of CB shorts, one box of Thunderbolts, two boxes of 17 HMR and five boxes of 22 shot.
Two boxes of 9 mm. No other handgun ammo.
One box of 410. Couple of boxes of dove loads.
Some rifle ammo but not sure of what it was.
Sure am glad that I was picking up different mfg of 22 lr when I bought the 10/22 to see what it liked! On the internet, the number of posts do not correlate to actual knowledge.
The notch is supposed to be there as well as the bulge at the front of the frame!

When even 22lr is gone off the shelves it means people are really scared...It makes me mad and very sad to think that American Citizens have to be so afraid of their Government....Wait a minute, aren't WE the Government?????" An armed society is a polite society".... Robert A. Heinlein
