You bet JFootin. Hope you enjoy it. Had mine a little over 10 years and still going strong.

The recoil is the only thing that isn't there. About have to have a 9MM to get that. No recoil doesn't bother me. Holding right and trigger pull is where I had my problem.

I may hold off until I know some more. All the ammo I see for .177 is metal. I want an airsoft gun that will shoot the plastic pellets. I guess I'll call one of the big online airsoft retailers and ask some questions.
      Very interesting...

Shoot lead pellets into what is called DUCT SEAL. It is a clay like substance that will stop the pellet and help eliminate the noise. Home Depot etc. Put it into a metal container and hang it on the wall.

Stopped by WM this afternoon just to kill a few minutes and lo and behold they had the first pistol ammo I've seen there in months. I didn't really need it but I bought 200 rounds of WWB 45, but they had 9mm and 40 cal too. The bad news is that I also spent over $200 in the electronics department.

Now look what you guys have done. I ordered a new Gamo P25 blowback so I could get the recoil. Actually, when I bought the P23 ten years ago I shot steel bb"s through it and messed up the riflings in the barrel. I didn't know about lead BB's back then.

Actually, that's exactly what I'm gonna do tomorrow. It was a sound bar for my TV and didn't work as advertised. My hearing isn't great, and although I can crank up the sound in the TV speakers to a level I can hear, it gets distorted. I have a hard time with dialogue, especially if it's a woman with a soft voice. The sound bar was softer than the TV speakers even at full volume.

Great thread! I was wondering about practicing with an airgun. I think I have room in my basement. I am new to the DAO, I really need the practice.

                        Re: Ammo solution

Really glad you wrote this post. It's making me really look into air soft, I never really considered it before. Finding my next birthday gift.. Trying to decide between Gamo PT85 pellet pistol or Walther C99 BB pistol. Pellets are more accurate, but I like the idea of actually being able to have a friend come at me with a knife/marker and see how quick I can draw and actually fire on him before he marks me all up. Training like it actually might happen..... if it's just a BB so long as we wear eye protection, it should be a great time. Heck look at all the air soft players out there

Or putting my wife with the gun as she will have her CCW permit soon. Letting her draw and fire on me if I come at her. Nothing like real life training and moving targets.

                        Hmmm... got me thinking....

Be sure and make arrangements for dinner for a while and make your bed on the couch before you shoot your wife with a Gamo P85 or any CO2 gun. I have a Gamo P23 and P25. Both will bury a BB or pellet in a 1" pine board. YIKES! I'm sure you meant airsoft.

I ment bb, and I would be coming at her with a pretend knife letting her shoot at me... what's the difference between bb and air soft?

                              So I found out.

                              http://www.airsoft-guns-gas-electric...n-air-gun.html

Plastic bb s.... of course. Train with a buddy before being wife into it.

If these knuckleheads do it bare skinned, I'm sure with the right face shield & clothing, training seasons with live people could be really helpful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0mc...e_gdata_player.
