NRA Confirms Adam Lanza, Nancy Lanza Were Not Members, Despite Certificates

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/0...comm_ref=false

As I suspected, the "certificates" must have been course certificates from NRA instructors.

LaPierre calls this defamatory, so I hope the NRA sues their asses off.

Obviously was not in it for the long haul. Not much of his equipment listed is expensive or collectable. Unfortunately, without help from parent (s) he may have had to spend his life as a XBOX warrior.

as much as I detest Harry Reid, he is gonna be the catalyst asto how little even gets passed. He aina't for these controls. but I do think we gonna see some kind of registration passed between private people. It will serve no purpose but 80% of the people feel that this kind of regestration would help, and these legislators also feel they have to pass sumpin to appease and this is probalby as less restrictve as they will vote for. They ain't gonna get einsteins gun ban, no way in hell is that gonna happen.

I love the cover of the American Rifleman today. That has to piss the great one off (I don't mean u colonel)..
All that Harry is doing is covering his own behind. There are a dozen democrat senators from red states running for reelection and harry doesn't want to lose his majority in the senate. I don't see anything passing in the next two years except for maybe a watered down version of background checks and some funding for mental illness. Even his highness Obama doesn't have high hopes for passage. That's not to say that we should let our guard down.

I'd like to see every law abiding gun owner become a member of the NRA. If they did no politician would ever attempt to disarm the populous. An even smaller percentage of us ever served in the military. I think that every able bodied male should serve a minimum of two years on active duty. That would straighten out a lot that's wrong with this country. Ladies should have the option to serve, but not in combat roles. Just my opinion, ladies. Don't make me reach for my gun.

What is your reasons for no women in combat roles? Israel has women in combat roles and it seems to work out. In Africa there were the Lybian Amazons who the Greeks feared. The Dahomey and the Hausa that were fierce women warriors..
The writings of historian Saxo Grammaticus— Saxo wrote of Lathgertha, “a skilled female fighter who bore a man’s temper in a girl’s body with locks flowing loose over her shoulders as she would do battle in the forefront of the most valiant warriors"
                Clearly, women can fight.
Finally, isnt this country about freedom? Its should be a woman's freedom to choose if she wants to fight and at what capacity for her country. Or do we go down the road of picking and choosing who has what freedoms and dictate that to our citizens? Kind of what we hate about the antigunners isnt it?

The certificate is used when completing training. The card is for membership. The certificate is not issued by the NRA but by the NRA certified instructor.

I too hope the NRA sues their pants off for that obvious attack.

As for an arsenal, that's not much of an arsenal. I only count 6 firearms, not including the BB gun. I had more than that by the time I was 12.

I have no issue with women serving in combat roles, just as long as they can pass the exact same training as their male counterparts and that's what they want to do.

                      +1

I agree that the testing has to be standard. For example: I dont care if there are female firefighters. As long as one of then can get my burning butt out of the house on fire, I am good.

We have a different society than Israel, or the others. Here although it's getting pretty rare there is still chauvenism and unfortunately the ones that still practice it are usually the good guys, and guys who would join the military.

They shouldn't need to deal with gender issues and all the expenses of putting women in combat, special needs.

This is absolutely not to say woman can't fight, they most certainly can and in many cases far better than some of the young males in the military now days.

Just with our society i don't think it'll work without costing good boys their lives.

Truth be told it's the same but not as bad an issue in law enforcement. Women are almost always backed up on nearly every event where male officers usually handle minor stuff alone, especially if the female officer happens to be well liked or cute.

I'm know I'm going to hell for my chauvinist attitude, my bags are packed, just the way I feel.

"Holiday card with a check from Nancy Lanza to Adam Lanza for purchase of C183 firearm"

Not sure if this has been pointed out, but interesting that all that comes up when you 'google' 'C183' is a Kodak camera......wow, 14mp of death and destruction.
