A would be or wannabe gangsta is dead... and a good guy who sought to protect his neighborhood is left with a ruined life and must forever try to escape those who would see him punished... as promoted by the race baiters and the fawning press who portrayed Trayvon Martin as an innocent youth... an innocent victim of Zimmerman's racism.

No one won, but a greater tragedy was prevented in that Zimmerman wasn't falsely convicted and sentenced to prison... not that he will be any freer when he is released.

His life is totally ruined and he'll have to become an anonymous entity and try to stay beyond the reach of those who will doubtlessly seek to avenge Trayvon.

The next logical step for George Zimmerman would be for him to ask the county/state prosecutor to bring assault and battery or attempted murder charges against Trevor Martin posthumously due to the facts of the case proven in the trial.

Remember after the OJ trial when the Goldman family brought wrongful death civil suit against him and won a monetary settlement ? The Goldmans won, which resulted in his selling his Heisman and other possessions etc
and stealing them back, resulting in his incarceration.
I'm thinking there may be more to come down the road for Zimmerman.

Ithought I read somewhgere thatin the stteof florida if ur charged with murder and fgound not guilty, that no cvil case can be broght forward. I might have dreamed that, but again, hell let um sue. Z has no money, Z will never have any money.If a civil suit is allowed I hav eno doubt they will sue, they will probalby have the NAACP backing them tobut aghain u can't blood out of a turnip.

Had Zimmerman caught up with Martin and threatened him with harm then Zimmerman would be that aggressor.

2) It's not usually a good idea to track somebody down. You know that could easily turn into a cornered dog thing with you as the aggressor. Again, don't be the aggressor.

The whole aggressor and victim thing is like watching a boxing match as the labels change over and over, so know your way out of trouble. By the way, this is also why you don't shoot at the car of the thief as he drives away. No matter what he did as the aggressor, it was over when he withdrew.

Remember, there is a huge difference between justice and law. Had the Zimmerman thing happened in those states that don't have the no retreat law he would be facing a long sentence. I cannot help but think that the law spelled out in the jury instructions made a difference.

It was a while back but it seems like the local DA said no charges will be filed, but then Obama's friend Eric Holder had the Florida State AG make them file charges as a reaction to the NAACP wanting this to be a cause for civil rights. The DA knew he didn't have a case but was forced into a pretend world that messed up the Hispanic man Zimmerman.

Again, Legal does not equate to Justice.

I for one am fully fed up with the reverse racism that is more than tolerated, but encouraged by todays left. The prosecution of the "white/hispanic" Zimmerman is proof positive. In my southern state which is a very strong believer in stand your ground and self defense rights, Z still could have had a good chance of being locked up if he made first contact. The law specifically states that if it's proven that person is the one that starts something and then uses lethal force, you may lose the protections of stand your ground and self defense because you started it. People better know the laws of their state.

They never proved Zimmerman started it but Florida also is much more loose on the stand your ground definition.

It's the same here in PA... CLEARLY states if you are the aggressor, you can not use it as a defense..
