I thought of you a lot last couple days. I know you spend a fair amount of time taking care of the missus, far and above the normal take care of the missus we all deal with everyday.

I'm tickled she's up and about today.

Funny I told her she had to get right back on to show the hoss she wasn't afraid. That did not go over so well, not at all.

Good to read that Mrs. B is up and about already.

As you should know by now....................don't do anything to get her mad at you right now. LOL

Well, Mrs.Armybrat flew to Pittsburg this morning to join her cousins in celebrating her Aunt Louise's 100th birthday.

I'll be batchin' it until Monday evening.

Sorry to hear about your wife, Bawanna. Please pass on to her all of our best wishes for a speedy recovery. And as for getting back on ... tell her to take her time. As life starts going by faster ... it doesn't hurt to put the brakes on now and then.

Oh, I gotta hamburger helper to cook up tomorrow - that'll last for 3 meals. Just finished some good leftovers for today's.

Like a good little wifie she whipped up a batch of Belgian waffles & a bunch of pancakes, along with enough Jimmy Dean sausage to last every morning while she's away.

I'd go to a strip joint in downtown Austin, but am afraid they don't open until after my bedtime.

Slow day at the National Cemetery today, only one this morning. Went to the range earlier in the afternoon. Shot my RIA 45 acp 1911,XDS9, and my Henry lever action 22. I'm good for a t least a couple of days. It was all positive good stuff to be sure. No negatives here. Popeye is happy.

I don't think Mrs.Armybrat has ever been on a horse, even when she worked summers at a dude ranch in the Texas Hill Country back in her college days.

She's never fired a gun either.

Actually Mrs. Bawanna has a Mustang with tires too. A convertible 2005 model. It's the V6 version but it's scary enough. Only been in a couple times myself but scared heck out of me both times.

Re: Bawanna's Be Happy, Positive Good Stuff Thread

Bawanna, sorry to hear about your wife's fall. I grew up with quarter horses and rode rodeo for years so I know just now dangerous horses can be. I finally gave up riding saddle broncs after a hard throw where I hit a fence upside down and landed on my head. I thought my neck was broken, which it luckily wasn't. I decided I wasn't as young as I used to be and now I just ride for fun.

It's usually not the car that's scary...just sayin'.

                              Oh yeah! Truth right there.

Certified, I'm glad you didn't break your neck. That would be a very very bad thing. I broke at the extreme other end and that's bad enough but I still got my hands and arms and can do most anything.

I always wanted to be a rodeo clown, just never panned out and maybe that's not a bad thing either.

                              We do enjoy watching rodeo.
Any time you try to ride something with a mind of it's own it's risky business.
This horse generally is pretty mild mannered, not mean at all. Just something didn't set right with him and the dismount was not pretty.

She's doing much better already today.

Well, I was going to say that after being nice and caring to her for a while she'd see what a nice guy you are and you would have a new gun in your future..... but you may have meesed that up now.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.
