Let me get this back on track.

Last night my family had a blessed evening in the back yard. It was great to slow down and spend some quality time together. The weather was perfect and I made a yummy pizza on the BGE. The Lord is good.

I'm getting excited now..... I am leaving on Tuesday for a five day camping trip to go whitewater kayaking and mountain biking. It will be ye first year my daughter is old enough to go on the rail trails and we are taking her rafting on a 9 mile float trip so she should have a blast!

I tried earlier tonight to post a pic of mrs surv and me stomping around with crampons on our feet on top of a glacier in Alaska on my 60th birthday a few days ago (actually celebrating our 40th anniversary from much earlier in the year). My "free" photobucket account has turned to krap, and I couldn't figure out how to upload a pic here .... so just imagine two unbelievable human specimens standing on top of the world (well... at least one)....

First day back on the bike after falling off a ladder a little over two weeks ago!

Here is the scene of the crime:



That ladder doesn't look very high, but it sure did hurt when I landed.

Today, it felt really good to be back on the bike, even though I only pedaled for a little over 5 miles and only averaged a little over 13 mph.

I am a happy camper!

How come there's a big hole in the roof?

The landings on some of them falls can be a might tricky. If your back on your bike that has to be a good sign.

Average 13 mph? Must be a Goldwhiner? I don't think Harley's idle that slow.

I'll tell the wife she has company and she's not alone.

I think a good lariat could lasso that there caulking gun, no need to go back up there.
