I generally consider that you get what you pay for. I've owned several KelTecs that worked well (only have the old P32 left), a Jennings JA25 which worked as good as a Jennings would be expected that I bought at cost from a ffl buddy (sold it for what I paid), and still have a multi-owner RG14 .22 cal snub my late Dad picked up for my Mom back in the 70's that works perfectly. I guess I've been pretty lucky with the cheapo's over the years. The biggest disappointment in a firearm I've ever had was an H&R bull barreled Varminter rifle(also on bottom of the line) in .223 I bought 5-6 years ago thinking it would prove to be a tack driver. It went back to the mother ship after about 30 rounds to have the complete action replaced, and still ended up never shooting better than 2 moa. Yep, you get what you pay for.Last edited by mr surveyor; 10-14-2013, 07:22 AM.________________________________________

I've never had a truly bad gun, but I bought a Ruger SR22 that had a really bad double action trigger pull. It was heavy, gritty and stacked badly. I put 50 rounds through it and sold it when Ruger told me that the trigger was within specs. The trigger specs had to have been written by a lawyer not a gun designer.Never trust anyone who doesn't trust you to own a gun.

hardly anyone ever shot a jenningsor RG gun much what ever caliber it might be. so IO u ight get a half dozen good mags out of it but then ur on ur own. The RG's just got so loose that they were so out oftime, but again most people bought those POS guyns not for really range use, so I guess more than like most people weresatisfied. I read somewhere that Jennings made over 1 milloon of those POS 22's and 380'.s Most all we ever sold backthen had togo back to the factory, They never fixe dum, they just shipped anutter gun, new seril and that was it. I think alot of owners just kept the gun loaded and carrie dit never thinking that they had bought a POS gun either. considering over 99% of all gun carriers never have to use their gun in defense, more than likley u will hear Jennings and RG owners saying, I NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES WIT IT
I have never read of any Jennings ownerr jor RG owner reorting firing 500 rounds through his gun flawlessly, let alone even firing 500 rounds. Neither was a pleqasant gun to shoot IMO, but IMO truly a POS WORK OF ART.
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Plastic plows? No way.Originally posted by jocko View Postits only a dud if u buy a dud, glocks are no different. Buy a dud glockand every Tom,. dick and Muggsy will hear about it. I tend to buy what I think is a good brand gun, if it acts upl, and i truly like the gun, then I will let it get fixed and move on. If I don't like the gun, I will still get it fixed and peddle it no matter what brand it is. Unless it is a kel tek then I will hammer t into plow sheirs. Just sayin

PS - Still have my P32 - it's a good reliable little piece. Got rid of my P3AT.A man can never have too much red wine, too many books, or too much ammunition

I know it's hard to believe.
But I tend to buy high end guns.
Never bought a clunker myself.
But a good friend bought one of the first Kel-Tec's.
FTF, FTE and/or light primer strikes with every mag of ammo.
We called it a Click-Tec due to the never ending light primer strikes.
After much laughter and teasing
the gun was unceremoniously dumped.

.22cal. Beretta Bobcat. Never cycled more than 3 rounds w/o failure to extract and due to design, could not rack to extract the shell. Used multiple brands of .22 ammo. Made no difference. Traded for a Ruger SP101 3" .38 Spl. when they came first out brand new,the only revolver that ever "fit my hand" with stock grips.

The only thing that a .22 Bobcat I own will run is CCI mini-mags and it will run them all day long. Everything else jams. I hear that the .32 cals run good.Originally posted by kwh View Post.22cal. It sits in the safe as a novelty. The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.
