Got one of these so I could attach a suppressor. Shoots most anything now and is much more accurate than the factory barrel. Used to be very picky. Not any more.

I never would have imagined there was such. But then I don't have much of an imagination.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

I will admit I bought a vintage 1953 Beretta 921A, .22 short tilt barrel several years ago. Spent way to much to have a birthdate model to begin with, then had to order a firing pin and "safety pin" recoil springs from "Bud's Gun Parts" (an Arkansas feller that has an amazing supply of hard to find parts), only to discover that the lower part of the grip frame had some "chunks" missing that made installment of the recoil springs a real PITA. Ended up spending another 80 bucks for a smith to complete the installation .... with the promise that I would never darken his doors again with that gun. It worked ...sort of ... but I ended up unloading it very shortly thereafter. Actually, that Beretta was the 4th or 5th in a line of "bad trades", and I think I sold it outright and spent the proceeds on a couple of holsters for a gun I ended up selling within another year.

I wouldn't dare blame the bad experience on the old Beretta as it must have had a hard life over it's previous 50-55 years at the time, but the 4 or 5 guns that were traded off to result in the Beretta must have been really crap. I keep meticulous records on all my guns, past and present, but I don't spend a lot od time fretting over it.

          Worst firearm?

I've only ever bought one 'cheap' gun and of course it was my only bad gun. Yes it was the much discussed Jennings .22. I was a kid, driving a taxi on the dark side of Charlotte, NC hauling drunks, hookers and 'ner do wells around in the wee hours. Couple of our drivers were robbed at gunpoint by the same perp and I bought that Jennings for around $25 off the street in hopes of defending myself. Wouldn't cycle. Glad I never had to defend myself with it. The robber met his fate in the back of another cab when one if our drivers hit him with a load of 00 buck from a sawed off 12 gauge during an attempted heist. Cab crimes ceased to be a problem. Tossed that Jennings in the garbage.

Mine was a lemon Ruger mini14. I bought it new, had to send it back to the factory twice for the same issue. When I got it back, I never even tried it, just traded in it on a Bushmaster.

I think I might have fixed the problem(s) with my P45. Haven't had any failures of any kind since making these repairs.:001_tt2:

The bluing started coming off the slide and frame rails almost immediately, and machining marks covered the slide. The trigger, oh the trigger. After half a box of ammo your finger begged for mercy. That Fokker hurt to shoot. And then the front sight fell off while shooting. Never did find it. I tried and tried but could never get the damn thing to run. Sent it back to KT, and the day I got it back I traded it in. Painful memories.

Friend bought on of the early Kel-Tecs.
We called it Click Tec due to the light primer strikes.
Each mag would deliver at least one FTF, FTE or light strike.
He eventually got tired of the teasing/failures and got rid of it.

Now that's a gun with a great track record. Just goes to show any manufacturer can produce a lemon.

I wouldn't call you a troll, Bawanna, even though you do look like a troll, but, hey, that's just one man's opinion.

I can honestly say that I've never owned a bad gun. Some were better than others. That's not to say that a some didn't develop a few hiccups, but then even I'm not perfect. A muzzle loader once cost me a nice Buck, but it shot a lot straighter after I wrapped it around a tree, but that's another story for another time.

The only guns I have ever had that suffered defects that were beyond the customer service abilities of the manufacturer were several squirt guns. Things started leaking and quit spraying water when the trigger was pulled. I wasn't too broken up about it though.

Should add that HK replaced the entire P9s twice, and when it failed a third time....they gave me a cash refund.

The situation was the tiny screws that hold the FCG to the ultra thin sheetmetal underframe. They kept pulling out after a few DA pulls. HK to their credit, told me that DA was for emergency use only.... (cough cough)... and not to be used for first shot firing if it could avoided! Lets see, I was loading five rounds at a time just for familiarity, and I managed to get less than 10 DA pulls per pistol. Oh, to be fair, there were probably another 20 to 30 dry fire DA pulls as well.... in total, between three pistols.

That - folks - was the end of my HK relationship.
