Precisely weedhopper. A cat is like a dog with no legs, it ain't gonna come when you call it.

I like em both, the psycho black cat got along fine with my dear departed Beagle so no problems. Cats are definitely low maintenance but he does love to chase the laser on my PM45. Eyes get huge soon as he hears the thumb break on the ankle pop. Life's simple pleasures.

I didn't hear any where that the cat had a history (besides the Vet visits) of attacking the family. I could only imagine that if the child pulled the cat's tail and reacted, and then the Dad kicked or hit the cat, then maybe the cat said "it's on." As usual there"s barely any details as to whether the cat is nutso or if there was any history of mistreatment. I'm more of a dog person, but I feel sorry for the cat.

There is. I have a acquaintance who lives in a rural area. He and his wife have 3 cats and he shoots EVERY dog he sees without hesitation or mercy. He is a bit weird too he is a gin drinker. Like I said weird.

That's just sick, just shooting a dog. I've never been able to even shoot a coyote even though I've had several chances, always afraid I'd shoot somebodies dog in error.

And a gin drinker to boot, I think there's a special place for people like that. No where close to me would be a fine start.

                *UPDATE*

The family decided to give the cat away to a good home...

I have both and they each have a very distinctive personality. Cats and dogs are just like people, some are crotchety and some crave attention all the time.

Can't/won't say much about the cat etc.. but my first thought when I saw this on the news was the guy needs to give up his man card. I mean really, calling 911?

That cat's offense, in my house, would'a been his last

The things I seen cats and possums do'n, in the dark of night, have left me not liken cats. Some things can't be un seen.

It's crazy what you see drive'n round in a cop car at night. Who says mid watch ain't fun?

I caught the tail end of another news detail about this. It seems the baby pulled on the cat's tail. And then the cat reacted.

guy had had cosmetic surgery about a year ago and he was now a pu$$y, so that figures into the phone call. Did u know that is called cosmetic surgery. I know for I had 6 inches cut off about a year ago and a female doctor did the surgery and she was wearing lipstick, facer rough and earrings. She worked on me 14 hours and smled the whole time. Isn't tht what they call cosmetic surgery???

I washaving alot of knee problems prior to that and now I am fine. Just sayin

Not a pet person myself. No time for the responsibility.

But if I had to back down from a dog, or worse, a cat...like the fella in this story...I wouldn't show my face in public ever again. I can hardly believe this story.

I mean, ok, a tiger maybe...or a lion...but a house cat? gotta be kidding me!
