      +1 on AMAC vice AARP.

BTW, after 50 you start counting birthdays backwards...

Seriously, the 50's were the best decade of my life, although there's nothing wrong with my 60's (63 now). Watch your health and enjoy.

If the 20 something womens wouldn't mind my 50's body, it would work out much better. Just sayin'.

Thanks for all the heart felt comments?!?

I've always felt my 50's would be the best decade of my life. Kids are out of the house, my wife and I are still in good enough shape to do most of the things we like, finances are pretty much settled, and our minds are somewhat still intact.

I'm really looking forward to the future. We are going house hunting next week in CO for the place we'll spend the rest of our lives. I was born and raised there but have live all over the country since I joined the Navy back in the early '80s.

As far as the AARP goes, this goes along with what I remember from the post I can't find. I'm not familiar with AMAC so time to do a little research.

Honestly, I don't even feel close to 50. My mind is that of a 17 year old in bravado, a 40 year old in maturity and my body isn't as good as it once was but as good once as it ever was!

My wife and I are sill in good enough shape to still do the things we enjoy, but not nearly as often. What we used to do all night now takes all night.

My bodies warranty ran out November 2011, just before my 64th birthday

Don't much remember bein 50. My mind stills wants ta think I'm 30, but my body says "Forget It":7:

Make'n the videos sounds like fun. But I ain't go'a go any where close to a "nursing home" ever again, 'cause I might not be able to break out again:86:

Happy 50th, see what ya got to look forward to

Depends on the nurses. Assisted living facilities are a growth industry - I might start one employing naughty nurses. Probably get a high resident turnover rate due to heart attacks, but there'll be a long waiting list to get in.

My wife and I used to smoke after sex. But now we just do it slower.

Agreed. AARP has been very active in pursuing the liberal/progressive agenda in recent years. We cancelled them a couple of years ago and went with AMAC.
