  • Governor Perry

Did see a thread yet on Texas Governor Rick Perry. So what are your thoughts on the cruel Governor using his lawful veto power to veto funding to a ethics comity ran by someone that had an arrest for DUI at three times the legal limit. I'm pretty sure the nut jobs in Austin are the only ones in the state supporting his inditement.

Politics as usual. Sure hope he is not the next Republican candidate for pres!

Not a fan of his I take it. I've only lived here for two years so I don't know all of his history but I'm all for him using his power to force her out in this case. How the heck can you have an ethics comity ran by someone like that.

Kudos to Perry for refusing to waste taxpayer money on a committee run by someone with such poor judgment. Seems silly that they would indict him for that. He's the one exercising sound judgment...

ISTR that the indictment came from a county grand jury, her county! But, I may be wrong there.

I don't hate the guy and generally agree with him. I just personally think he is about as smart as a box of rocks.

This 'indictment", by the "Texas Nifong", is just one more in a long line of leftists using the judicial system to attack, smear and eliminate political opponents. It's in their playbook.
Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

I live in Travis County, Texas and am a independent voter. However DA Lemberg should have been fired but she was retained in office by the County Commissioners over politics.

Perry did what was legal and it is a political move.

My take on it is this. The Dems knew this was a waste of time and would make them look like fools, and it didn't matter if Perry ultimately prevailed. The purpose of the indictment was simply to have fired the shot. That way, when (and I'm thinking positively, not saying "if") Obummer, Holder, or any of them get indicted the Dems will say, "Oh, they're just seeking revenge for Perry, it's purely a political stunt, it's dumb and meaningless!" And the big lies will be repeated a thousand times by the media, and the sheep will believe it.

This is why Bush was blamed for everything. When the next President blames 0bummer for everything the media will all say, "He (or she) is just whining like they said 0bummer did!"

It's all a setup for a mind game. Psychological warfare on a grand scale.

Don't think that will happen and it's not related to the current hubbub. I always liked what I heard with Perry UNTIL the debates in 2012. That guy doesn't have the brains that God gave a head of lettuce.

oh I found it and I remember it now. Still would back him. Yeah he looked bad in front of the camera and the scrutiny. I'd give him another chance.

Why because he gets nervous when speaking on stage? I think he would make a good canidate.
