Last fall when my son, she and my grand kids came for a visit, I did the unthinkable - I took my grandson to the range to teach him how to shoot. The only way she would allow it was for her to come along to supervise, grudgingly. Long story short - by the end of the day she was shooting my CM9 and AR15 and loving every minute of it. Last week my son called to say they had a new Glock 19 and were looking at AR's. Patience can be a great thing.NRA Benefactor

Guns are like religion and politics. Most people believe what they believe because they believe it. It's not a matter of evidence or reasons. So, trying to "argue" or have a rational discussion is pointless. It just gets everyone riled up to no purpose.

Just tell her that her friends mom shot her dad because he was a two-timing self centered misonist and gigolo, and she just said he was a burguler for the kid's sake.
If it continues, you can tell her to **** in a loving brotherly way.
