Oh my, that is a good looking Wrangler, congrats!
It sure puts mine to shame. I, foolishly, loaned mine to an ex-buddy and got it back in pretty rough shape...maybe one of these days I'll make it right.
This is a shot of it before I deed the dumb deed:

I poo every time it rolls over another 100,000 and. Just. Keeps. Running.

The other is a 1977 J20 3/4 ton full size - it was a U.S. Forrest service truck here in Idaho, and somewhere along the line lost it's AMC 350 and got a hear transplant with an AMC Javelin 401 engine (engine code is for Javelin not the truck line)
It took very little (rear end work) to get it running again and is my weekend project, dump run truck.

    That's an excellent pair slugnutty!
I agree with Bawanna when he writes "That XJ looks pretty durn clean for 300,000 miles and 1989. You too good care of that one."
I think that J20 has just the right amount of "beat" on it, I really like it's look. I think Jeep made a mistake when they dropped the Gladiator name for those. Hopefully, we'll see another Jeep pickup some day.

I need to get my XJ out more (the ZJ is more my go to):

^^^ a Jeep in the desert is a sight to behold. Around these parts they are lucky to get out in the woods once in awhile.

I don't miss snow very much....is that a stand of trees or a woods in the background? I do miss the woods sometimes.

I actually appreciate that rogue Easter snowfall. Mostly because it will be gone soon. And that stand of trees is a well-disquised parking lot. I hafta give it's builders credit for being repectful of our neighborhood.

I'm on my 3rd jeep now, 4th if I count the Laredo that was actually my wife's. First one was a 79 cj5, I was only in my early 20's and beat the crap out of that thing including hill climbing, mudding and even a couple jaunts out in the desert when I lived in Tucson. The 2nd was a 98 wrangler sport. I used it a lot when I did home health and came in pretty handy for some of the people I visited out in the middle of nowhere and often went were no other therapists or nurses could go. Took it off road and did some hill climbing etc but treated it pretty "gentle" compared to the cj5. I now own a 2012 wrangler. Only off roading I ever do is at the outer banks. I go out and play in the snow on the rare occasion we get it down here and the wife and I enjoy cruising the blue ridge parkway etc with the top down but now have had it 5 yrs and nary a scratch on it. Guess i'm getting soft as I age. One thing that has never changed is that you can hardly ever see another jeep and we don't wave to each other...some kind of comradery I guess. Anyway b4uqzeme welcome to the club and hope you enjoy yours as my as I have mine.

I think Chrysler (at the time they were still JUST Chrysler) Dropped the ball - the Power Wagon should have been the new Gladiator - it instead of Dodge should have been a Jeep Pick up.
My .02 on the matter if it counts.

It might be a bargain compared to that Mercedes and it looks to have some ground clearance, but the High Life man rule probably still applies
