No validation required. Just venting my angst.

Here's what: I have a heart for the younger, inexperienced, shooters. Doesn't really matter how old, since everyone's mostly younger than me.

Folks been doin' stupid crap with guns, and wrecking guns, and getting other folks hurt.... for a long long time. As it turns out, rarely is the shooter hurt that bad. One of God's little mysteries!

When some maladroit Nimrod tightens up his gird a bit, and thinks... oh this will be so damn cool... without knowing what is really involved.... it get to me "right here" (pounding my own heart).

I mean there are things to try and things NOT to try!!!

      Three types of people.

Those that learn from the experience of others
Those that learn from your own experience
      Those that do not learn

Ya want some kicks, shoot a 40sw or 38sp in a Colt .45 Auto. You'll end up with a 45/38 (or 45/40). That you can do! And you can catch the bullet on its way back down too!

My father was a gunsmith............................I regret not listening and observing more when I was younger. I've never had a problem with someone trying to impart their knowledge about a certain firearm, or technique. Always learnin.........................Personally, it bothers me when someone tries to radically change a firearm. Waste of a good firearm...............

CJB Theres a lot of things in life that can screw your day . All you can do is try to offer advise but you can not worry about it unless the person in blood kin . Other wise its time to just walk a way from it . I did a lots of things over the year that looking back were not safe or smart . Its part of life . I'm sure others are also trying to advise this shooter also and if all he gets hopefully is a blowed up handgun then so be it . If its only a firearm that's lost Its a good learning experience . Lots of old guys from the past pushed a lot of limits and if they were doing what they did today would be ridiculed to no end on these forums . Right ??

Looks safe right - I wonder how "Rollie" Free on his new 1948 Vincent at booneville salt flats would go over today on a forum !
