I have a pm9 that I have put over 5,000 rounds of every type ammo though it and has been flawless out of the box in every way. Guess I'm just one of the lucky ones eh? Maybe I should play the powerball. Might not be too bad being a billionaire.

I was once asked if I was "a paranoid for carrying my Kahr".
      "Nope" I said, "just prepared".
" prepared for what" he asked?

By the way, I'm a model builder also and I also have had zero issues with my poly Kahrs "out of the box. Some folks have issues, the vast majority don't. We just hear the most from the few that do. The maddest man I ever met was a coworker who dropped a whole $1200 dollar bonus check on a new Kimber 1911 that had to make two trips back the mothership to shoot through the first 250 rounds.
Everyone can have problems. If you want guaranteed flawless firearms performance "out of the box", spend the thousands and wait the months for a true handcrafted custom from the most reputable of gunsmiths...

And as for plastic models, some are amazing jewels and some are just plain awful... Just like everything else.

PM9, CM45, P95, P345, MKII and a MAB p15, All of them shot from day one with little or no problems. I've got 500+ rounds through them and enjoy shooting them all. The little Kahrs are the carry guns, of course! Shoot bast with the CM45, go figure!

I owned a pm9 and a cw9 5+ years ago that were great guns, very reliable. In the past year I bought a cw380 that has been back to the factory once for warranty work and it is less reliable now than before I sent it to them. Actually, I should say 'was' less reliable. I dumped that lemon yesterday! So I guess my experience with Kahrs is 66% positive.

Could it be that with Kahr's introduction of the C series guns the demand has grown and Kahr is having quality control issues trying to keep up with that demand?

Well my first Kahr was a K40 and it was problematic from the start. Next was my present P9 and it would never make it through 2 mags without a spent round being caught by the slide case forward. However it felt great and I really wanted that gun so I spent a week working on that thing before I got it perking. It's now been 13 years going strong but my experience did follow trentu's warning.

What, may I ask, did you have to do to your P9? Mine, bought new a little over a year ago, occasionally wouldn't fully chamber. An examination of the spent cases showed scratches. De-burring the magazine feed lips eliminated all of my chambering problems and it's been 1500 rounds without so much as a hiccup since.
