Kahr's are like models

You ever buy a car model? You see where it gives you a skill and age level? That is like what Kahr poly frame guns are. If you want an out of the box every shot is flawless gun then they are not for you. That is the poly frame models because I do not own any of the solid metal designs. As far as the poly frame models I own 3-CM9's, 2-CW380's, 1-CW45. They have all taken much prep (I'm a gunsmith and engineering tech) work and will NEVER work 100% out of the box like some guns. I would safely say that if you are a NEW gun buyer expecting no problems then stay away from Kahr's. Kahr Poly frame guns need clean up, break in and sometimes a trip back to Kahr. I polish, remove burrs and chucks, bend the sharp recoil springs because they do not close their springs. Another example is magazines. I had to modify and replace most of them for my CM9. You need to trim the follower or they bust. Basicially unless you are one of us sick and twisted Kahr lovers that love to work on guns then walk off partner!!

There are literally thousands of Kahr pistols that have worked flawlessly right out of the box. You can't make a generalization like that from your limited experience. Every new gun needs to be broken in. It is nice to know that you're still a Kahr freak despite all of the flaws.

Well having had 4 Kahrs ( 1 CT9, 2 CW9s, and 1 CW380) im at 75% success rate. The only one that gave me issues was the CW380. The trigger pin walked out at about the 70 round mark. I did fix it from the DIY on KT and since then haven had any issue. One of the CW9s is now my moms. I didnt do any of the "break in" tips other than clean, lube, and shoot. I am very happy with all my Kahrs

I would agree with most of it but to say limited it with all the Kahrs I own if is careless. Love ya Muggsy but ya have to admit that the poly frame guns have problems. Any sidearm should be 100% reliable as a carry gun. No exceptions! Look at the history of the 1911. That's what I'm talking about.

My 3 kahr 9mm's (cm9, cw9, and ct9) were flawless out of the box. My cw45 and cm45 took some tweeking and/or breakin but are 100% now. YMMV.

My PM9 (PM9193) has been wonderful. I had one FTF at about 70 rounds. It has been perfect and accurate for well over 2,000 rounds since then. It is my EDC and I trust my life to it.

Both of my Kahr pistols are fully reliable. There are plenty of 1911's that didn't function correctly right out of the box and they were built a lot looser that Kahr arms builds their guns. My 1911 is fully reliable, but I still practice the tap rack drill. Even the glorious Glock 19 gen 4 experienced teething problems and as everyone knows Glocks are synonymous with perfection. Nope, last time I checked we all still live in an imperfect world.

Guns are machines. There are only two kinds of machines made. Those that have problems and those that are going to. That being said, after 3 years and approaching 3500 rounds I am still waiting for a problem with my CM9.

If kahrs are like "models" my 4 are of the no problem variety . They do the job when needed and look good doing it with no skilled work required .

My PM9 performed much better after the mag follower tweak. After that ten minute alteration, I have yet to find any problems whatsoever.

Over the years, I have had 4 Kahrs, one of which was polymer. No issues for me with any of them.

I honestly have no idea of what the OP is talking about and I suspect a troll here.

I currently own a CM9, CW40 and a K9 which are all part of my carry rotation and have been for several years. In fact I use my CW40 each week for our clubs IDPA matches. It has well over 1400 rnds thru it and NOT ONE FAILURE or excessive wear. My CM9 runs flawlessly since day one. 650 rnds thru it and NOT ONE SINGLE ISSUE. My K9 run's like a cadilllac, no explaination needed...

I trust no semi-automatic until I've put at least 200 trouble free rounds through it. I don't care if it's a Glock, or H&K, Sig, or whatever, it still gets a break in. I hate it when I get up around 175 or so, and it jams and I have to start over. I only use name brand ammunition for the break in, usually WWB or the UMC value packs or 250. Once it passes the 200 round test, then I start on the SD ammo to see which it likes best. Ranger is good for my CW40, and I was able to get several boxes cheap, after they didn't pass some govt. test. The core separated from the jacket too often. This doesn't bother me so much, as that just leaves more wound channels. I was using Hydra Shoks, on my Cx45's, but think I'll switch to Gold Dots, Golden Saber, or something else, after seeing some tests on Hydra Shok performance in .45. They failed to expand too often.
