I lost the very tips of three fingers on my fret hand. But just the very tips. They healed up fine but there is nerve damage. Sorta tingles now when I play.

Them are some beautiful instruments you describe there laserfish. It's great they went to a good home.

Tell Tony Iommi's story right. He figured out he could make money playing music, was at his last day of work, and his mother had told him to finish the day out when he wanted to call it at lunch time. He comes back to work from lunch, his boss puts him on a press he hadn't worked before. Lops off the tips of his middle and ring fingers on the left hand. Blood and squirty blood, a trip to the hospital, and his boss meets him there with his finger tips in a match box. Dickter says no joy, they can't be re-attached. Iommi is bummed, gets told not to give it up, had to be a way etc. He ends up melting a bunch of plastic in these great big gobs onto his fingers, then runs uber thick strings and a down tuned guitar. The real irony is this, if he hadn't had that accident, heavy metal would not be what it is today. Everybody started putting really thick strings on, and down tuning after Black Sabboth came on scene then. Remember, they actually started as a blues band.
Attitude: it takes 43 muscles to frown, 17 to smile...and 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

The olive branch is considered a symbol of peace, and good will. Last time I checked, it's still a switch.

See, Bawanna? You can still become a rock star!

While I have a similar story I don't reckon I'll ever be a rock star. I love Reba too much.

I bought a new bass boat and was gonna take a day off and go use it. I should have went fishing.

At least I didn't lose no fingers. Not sure what to do with them but I still got em all present and accounted for.

My fingertips do a lot more than tingle and it happened over 25 years ago. I wasn't any good anyway.

After 32 years of abuse on the '77 SG, I got myself a 2012 Les Paul Standard. Play 50+ shows a year with my band Three Legged Dawg in southeast Texas. We're in our 20th year together and still going strong.

Nice flamed tops on those Gibsons. Yours is a beaut LD. I love those tobacco/brown sunbursts too. How'd you come up with the name for your band? My Mrs. saw a real loveable 3 legged dog at a shelter once and was dead set on getting it for her brother for Christmas. We talked her out of it. Figgered if Mike wanted a three legged dog he was better off deciding that for himself.

                      Welcome.

I saw one of these at Guitar Center last week and fell madly in lust.

Thanks, b4! The name came by accident, it was one of many that we came up with but, when the person who hired us for one of the first shows we played brought her three legged chow dog, the name just stuck. We altered it to Dawg to match our southern heredity.
