As my username implies, I'm a bassplayer. I've put it down for the past few months but will pick it up again sometime. My basses are a Classic Vibe 60's Precision bass, An Epiphone Jack Casady bass which is currently for sale, and a Rickenbacker 4003s. Oh yeah and my Kala Ukelele bass!

I been reverse profiled
I walked into Guitar Center yesterday...me an old guy in a button down shirt...and all the sales reps ignored me. They just kept noodling around on various instruments or talking to each other. Didn't anyone teach them how to pre-qualify customers? Old guys have $$$ and they don't d!ck around. If they see something they like, they buy it. One of the salesmen finally said hello and it took him about five minutes to sell me a guitar. I'll post pics when I bring it home. I hafta wait 15 days for the local cops to make sure it wasn't stolen.
I'm embarking on a new adventure...O|||||||O

Our daughter is taking Guitar 2 in 11th grade and has a black Fender Stratacoustic that we picked out together and she paid for half of it. She nicknamed it "Fen" for Fender, and for the Star Wars character Finn. She said yesterday a senior in her class tried to buy it from her. She loves Fen and wouldn't sell it for any price. I told her the guy was probably hitting on her, and she got kinda quiet. Wonder why...

^^^ tell her that hanging onto Fen will be pretty cool when she's my age and can still play the guitar she played when young. I purchased most of my guitars when in my twenties. I still have one I bought at 19. I wish my dad would have paid half. I'd have twice as many!O|||||||O

Lucky girl...................what I would have given to have a Strat in 11th grade..................................especially black. I've got something for black guitars whether they be Fender or Gibson. Gibson makes some absolutely stunning black guitars.Originally posted by JohnR View PostOur daughter is taking Guitar 2 in 11th grade and has a black Fender Stratacoustic that we picked out together and she paid for half of it. Some of them have chops.Originally posted by berettabone View PostNot exactly on topic, and I'm not too much country, I saw a Brad Paisley concert on tv up nort.......................got a new respect, that guy can play. P.S. I should get to pick up the new purchase next Friday. I'll take a vacation day so I can play it all day... binge playing.O|||||||O

Police hold is over!
A buddy needed a bass player and I said: "Why not?" ...despite having never played one before
. And today I picked up this Fender bass to go along with some used amps I found around town. I have to be ready to play by 9/28. Piece of cake!

Looks good to me. I don't know nothing about guitars. Looks like 4 strings on that one. How tough could it be. Yeah right!
I played accordion in my youth, should have been learning guitar. I'd probably be richer than Davy Crocket by now doing gigs and counting my money.

In Memory of Paul "Dietrich" Stines.
Dad: Say something nice to your cousin Shirley
Dietrich: For a fat girl you sure don't sweat much.
Cue sound of Head slap.
