    I think this is the same theory that Mr. Surveyor initially advocated and I for what it's worth agree. It seems to me if the right pivot point was established it would work. Seems like the follower would lose a bit of integrity by being able to move and it might take some effort to keep it oriented correctly but the theory has merit.
    I probably got the tools but I know pretty for sure I lack expertise, that's why I am the wood butcher. Renewable fiber is my palet.

      yes....that's exactly what I was describing...... the hinged follower isn't new. If I have a chance tomorrow night I will dig out a Shooting Star magazine and remove the follower for a pic or two.

            I had a lousy time using magazine holders for an IDPA training class using my K9. The top rounds stripped off the magazine almost every time I pulled one out.

            I've occasionally had the same problem with the 7-rd PM9 magazine in my pants pocket...
