Well I'm a new guy and I can't tell you how much I value this site and all of your advice and comments. I've only been serious about shooting for about nine months. My first pistol was a used MK9 which will always be my "first love". You all know what it means to be a "Kahr nut" and sometimes it's just hard to go slow and easy when you know nothing
Years age I was invited to go on an annual fishing trip with a bunch of guys and the first thing they said to me was, "if you can't take it don't come" we all took it and fished together for about 25 years.

I can get nuts when I don't even know the right questions to ask!

Now that I've got a P380 and my new PM45 I've tripled my unknown questions

Thanks to all of you, it's been a good year.
      Merry Christmas!

I am in total agreement with Bawanna and Jocko. Although I still think the major focus should be the operation of Kahr pistols, I also enjoy it when we get off point, and just have a good time. I hope that never goes away. I still consider KahrTalk the most entertaining of all the firearms forums.

BTW Jocko, even though I ride a CBR, I'll never say anything bad about your Harley.

This is a very good assesment of how I feel as well. I have been a member of a couple motorcycle sites and am a moderator on the one I continue to belong to. the others all get so pissy and remind me of virtual High school....DRAMA. The one I belong to is not large but the guys and gals there all know eachothers ways and are very happy to have the site to go to. this is one of the 2 best gun sites on the web if you ask me.

                Dietrich,

                Happy Birthday!
Six Decades... dang, you're gettin' more mature.

I'm still around... just trying to do something around the house, or shopping, or whatever... time with Wifey, etc.

I think this site is tops. Great info, entertainment, and yes a little controversy now and then. Anything I've ever written was never meant to offend anyone. I am just giving my opinion or experience on given topics. I don't think anything should be changed on this forum. If we get off topic, that's the way an in person conversation could turn and it's normal. There are some very talented writers on this site and I appreciate their talent, intellect, (that's smarts Bawanna), and sense of humor (Wynn). Thanks guys and gals for making this the best gun site, bar none.

Someone called me a name earlier in this thread and I'm here to defend myself:

                      I'm a newb, not a "noob".

Dang! Now you done it! It's the other way around... er, okay, maybe a little of both.

Hopefully, after the holidays, I can get more active here again. I need to go shoot my Kahrs, too... and my S&W .45. Wifey's off tomorrow evening and she'll be shopping early. I need to clean up the "dining room" where the tree is and get ready for opening presents. There's a love seat in there and I've been throwing stuff on it when I have to clear my hobby table/dining table for meals. The "stuff" has overflowed and it's starting to look like one of those hoarders' rooms... <sigh>. I don't know where I'm going to put all of that stuff, but I need to get after it. If I have to leave while Wifey's off, she might clean it herself!

You guys have a merry Christmas. I wish I could spend more time here chatting... maybe next year.

                        Cheers!

I chuckle thinking about the questions I've asked, and some of the dumb things I've said. My son and his family consider me "interesting" sometimes but know my heart is full of love although sometimes my brain is full of stinky poo. Anyway, my friends here were very patient with me and we got through it. Now you have me starting the reloading thing and a whole new set of questions.

I have been on boards since before color monitors and have seen the dangest wars imaginable. This before forum monitors who lock threads so they simply ran their course - so much for self-regulation (messy, very messy). I haven't seen anything close around here but am familiar with being an outsider on an insider run forum. This ain't it!

The only thing missing here are more women regulars. I visit GlockTalk which has several women regulars. The tone is different there like comparing sitting around a kitchen table to sitting around a work shop or man cave. But then I really don't care to know about "Dating hints Needed" (a current topic) or such.

Nope this is home, keep the fire going, it's cold out there.

bawanna ran all the women off a long time ago. We had to that I remember and when he found out where they lived, he moved in next to them and then the neighborhood went all to hell. Wheel chari tracks all around the neighborhood bedroom windows etc.

Truth be told I was engaged to all of em. Miss Zena, Miss MX5Fan, and not to brag but I've proposed to RD2K and she accepted as well. I'd let em off the hook if they would come back. Maybe they got cold feet.
I still miss them terribly and think of them often.
Maybe I can find an email address for them and beg them to come back.
RD2k is just super busy but still with us.
