I was in the Navy many years ago and have a I am what I am, with a what you see is what you get attitude. So I got named Popeye by a couple friends.

Salty looking is, or was back in the day a term that you had, time in. Your utilities were faded because of the salt air from being at sea for an extended period of time and you were older looking. He’s salty or he’s an old salt. Being I was in the Maries and I’m definitely older, old salt. Not sure if the term, old salt came from the Navy, the Marines were founded in 1775 to conduct ship to ship fighting. Today they are part of the Department Of The Navy.

Catshooter, I feel your pain with them. I am looking as always for a quiet method of urban ah removal. I've tried the aquila primer only rounds, and pellet guns, no joy on them. I may have to suppress a 22, but then that's a pain in the butt. Anti-freeze works well (the green stuff), got any other ideas?
Old Salt, I got yours from day one, I still have some of my salty cami's.

My next door neighbor (recently moved to Bawanna country) told me about a time before I moved in when he tried to scare a cat in my to-be backyard with an arrow. It's well over 150' from his fence to my far fence and I guess cat's are quick, because he aimed for the wood fence above the cat but the cat must have heard to twang and jumped right into the arrow path.

He told me cat's are about 90% empty fur and he hung that poor thing on the fence then had to go over and finish the job. Said it made him sick and he'll never do that again.

I knew I needed to take up the bow. I had one that I hit in the breadbasket with that Aquilla load. If I had hit him with a real 22, I would have had to patch my house. I hit this cat (next door neighbors, they turned it loose, and it got into everything), I hear a WHOOOOFFFP kind of sound, the cat falls off my fence, makes a great fall and splat sound, then runs home. No blood trail, no broken skin. Their fur must be almighty great at stealing velocity from pellet guns and those things too. Funny part was, when I shot it, my dog was oblivious at the time, never saw the cat. I see no reason to share a cat with the world, if you want to have a cat, then keep it inside. The damage they do is incredible.

Many years ago, when the earth was cooling, there was a soft drink called RONDO. Their TV ads featured a guy chugging a RONDO and then smashing the can on his forehead, "Slam down a RONDO!" While in USAF flight school after my initial solo in the supersonic T-38 .... tradition mandated excessive alcohol consumption. Well, I was slammin down several, when I got the idea to crush a beer can on my forehead! .... several stiches later, I was annointed with the call sign RONDO & it followed me thru assignments in the F-4, F-5, & F-16. Years later to all my friends, family, & business associates ... it's still RONDO.
