I used to take the 44 mag version out opening week of deer season. What a sweet gun it was. I had forgotten about that one. I think I even had the 10" bbl for the 44 mag, and not the 2 1/2", that was a gun that left LONG ago. If memory serves it shot very well, with all the bbls.
Attitude: it takes 43 muscles to frown, 17 to smile...and 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

Wow, I was gonna say a custom 3" Ruger SA Bisley by Milt Morrison before he disappeared, but your list is a lust blast from the past.

I've regretted selling/trading a very few guns, but have never, ever come close to feeling as bad about letting one go as my customized, late 70's Star PD in 1981. I have no freaking idea why in the hell I did that.

Hmm, the list is so long, I'll start with a 1980-early 90's model S&W 686 .357 Stainless Steel with 6 inch barrel. Have it's big brother the 629. An M1 Garand and a carbine, A Luger, AR-15, M14/M1A. A FN-FAL, A Tommy-gun, A Model 1894 Winchester 30-30, A pre-64 Winchester 70 in 30-06 or 270. A Bill Wilson 1911, A Benelli 12 Gauge Semi, An SKB o/u 12 gauge. A Ruger Mk I .22 with 4 inch barrel, an H&K .45 USP, A Glock 9mm or bigger, a BAR, Those are just a few off the top of my head, I could go on for quite awhile. Sure have been some nice guns mentioned already. One of my friends picked up a Dan Wesson Model 15, .357 recently for $200. Only came with the 4 inch barrel though. Someone he knew lost his father and the guy had a felony on his record or something and he had to get rid of it quick.

Yep Bman, that pretty much sums it up for me as well

anyone reme ber the Ithaca SKB line of side by sides. Oh my what great guns there were back. then, we sold many of them. I had a Model 280 20 gauge sk & sk, french stock, Loved it. Had a 280 side by side 20 gauge sk & sk, best dove gun I ever owned.
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

I have fired a Sokolovsky Automaster but could not afford one. $4000.00.

They make the AutoMag, which I have also fired, look like a piker.

I gave my Star PD to my son and he sold it shortly thereafter. I wish star was still around. They made some great guns before they started casting they're frames.

Well, so that the K9 would not make it on to this list, I ordered one Saturday. If a pistol can be elegant in appearance, I think the K9 qualifies.

Like several previous posters, the pistol I always wanted but did not get was a Colt Python .357 - until I saw the 4" polished nickel 1963 model with the Custom Shop gold plating at the local gun show ....

Before I got my Kahr, I was hoping and wondering if Sig would ever release the P250 in .45-subCompact. Its looking more and more like that gun is vaporware.

I've had just about every sort of handgun that there is, or had extended use of them.

Ones I'm glad to be rid of - Detonics Combat Master (terrible metallurgy), 4" Python, 2-1/2" Model 29

Ones I should have kept - early CZ-75, Redhawk .357, Beretta 76 that I turned into a bench rest pistol (that weighed 5lbs!)

Pretty much have settled on 1911's and Hi-Power's, with the exception of my little PM45 - which is quickly becoming one of my all time favorites. I'm sitting here typing... I got some jeans on, and its sitting in my front pocket. I barely know its there.

Ya know how they say - the best gun to have is the one you have with you at the time? The PM45 goes everyplace.
